Interior Showcase ("Hingot's Manor)"
Ok changing directions a little bit, I made this interior today. Its pretty big and I added as many details as I could stand =p. Excuse the exterior, I wasnt showcasing it but I had to add it for the mod to tie into the world.
Ok so a little bit of background on the place.
It is near the temple in Balmora.
The name is Hingot's Manor.
Hingot is a wood-elf hlaalu associate who just so happens to have a secret in his basement.
Hingot has been cooking his moon sugar into skooma and this little mod has potential for a good quest line, wrong vs right, choose your side, the temple is in on his scheme and they are corrupt, the morang tong wants you to shut him down. Hingot wants you to take his strongest skooma and spike the Duke of Vvardenfalls morning brew... jk on the last part.
Hopefully all of it is clean, I used TESAME to the best of my extent.
*On an important note, I did not add Hingot to the mod, i was just showing off the interior.
Floaters should be to a minumum, but an error i might have made was mix and mashing rugs? Does it even matter?
I removed this file, keep going down.

looks like you could use a bit more detail. it also uses imperial furniture, which is a no-no in a dunmer interior. thats just from the screenshot.
also, please dont double (or triple) post. just edit click the edit button and add stuff to your original post.

I just had a look at this for you, and I'll now list everything that was up with it that makes it unsuitable for TR showcase.
Firstly, there is a huge amount of style mixing. Furniture in Morrowind is organised by two categories, the race (IMPerial, COMmon, DE (dark elven) and Nordic), and the quality (Rich, Poor, and RM (middle class). When you make a claim at TR, unless otherwise specified, you should stick to the style detailed in the claim, for instance de_p would mean that you would only use poor dark elven furniture. You seem to have managed to include a piece from just about every furniture set I can currently think of, if you do another showcase, you should stick to one set, for example, de_r, or the TR_de_rm set included in TR_Data
There is no northmarker in the cell. The northmarker points in the direction of north, and helps the game compass function properly. Ideally, it should be the first item you place in an interior.
I don't understand what you put an in_c_railing_01 underneath one of the door frames for, but it looks strange and should be removed.
Chairs stacked on tables where food is set out looks kinda weird.
The bed in the basement is floating about half a foot off the ground
de_r_drawers_01_hlaalo are designed to be used in Hlaalo Manor as Ralen Hlaalo's personal drawers, and even if he is dead, it's much better to use generic de_r drawers
Considering how massive this int is, there's an awful lot of empty wall and floor space. Try and make it so there's something interesting to look at no matter where you look in your ints. Interesting book case and shelf arrangements, along with rugs and tapestries help this immensely.
With regards to your back story, I'm pretty sure no Tribunal Temple member would be in on a skooma operation, it's not their style. Skooma gear probably shouldn't be out completely in the open like it is here, anyway, try to hide it as much as possible.
There's a dagger with it's blade stuck almost halfway through a shelf. I don't know if you've ever tried, but it would take a lot of effort to stick even a sharpened lump of iron or steel like that through solid wood.
Considering you say your house is for a Bosmer, some of the shelves are really high up on the wall. Doesn't make sense to me =P
Dwemer/Dwarvern items shouldnt be in a city interior unless it's for a good reason. The stuff is very rare, and trade in it is illegal by decree of the Empire.
Anyway, I think that's all the important errors out of the way with. I advise reading through the stickies in the interiors and showcase forums, and then making a new, smaller interior, and focus on making it more detailed and avoiding style mixing. Get those down and you should be good to go.

Actually use this one. Some kind of landscape change? Fixed it.
EDIT Lol, I put it up for like 3 minutes, find an error and you have already downloaded it!
If you get the tr/blah blah blah missing error.
Its from a rug that i made go onto the stairs, but i had to pull it out bc collision issues.
Anyway i sincerely apologize, the correct file is the smaller kb one.
EDIT 2
I got confused, i thought you guys meant no more threads. I'm a bit tired so posting, threads everything it gets jumbled in my head. Hopefully I did it right this time.
I'm going to finish up the errors on this interior and hopefully get it back in before I have to go home. Unfortunately I only have internet on the weekends when I got to my cousins.
On the carpet stairs. I would hardly call that a model that i made myself. Everything there was Bethesda's but I did take the rug, shape it to the stairs and realign the UV's as well as possible!
//Gone home for the weekend. Plan on coming back Saturday with new files to post.
Ok doke, one week since post and im back.

Dude. Stop double-posting. If you have something new to say, use the edit button, that's what it's there for. Double, triple, quadruple, and even quintuple posting is bad. Don't do it.

Ok,
Here's my review of the new file.
First of all, if you're doing an interior showcase you shouldn't have a link to the exterior. Second, if you do link to an exterior make sure to clean any cells that you didn't mean to edit out of your file. Your file shows editing on multiple cells in balmora when all you did is place one static near the temple. You should probably remove all the exterior refs from your file.
Now for the interior.
- Your light settings are a little bright. Look at the settings from other bethesda interiors of the same type to get an idea of where they should be. Generally sunlight settings for interiors should be very dark or off completely as the game doesn't use them unless the interior is set to behave as an exterior.
- bonemold_shield bleeds into wall and floor slightly.
- furn_de_p_chair_02 and de_p_desk_01 bleed into rug.
- bk_onoblivion floats on one end. de_p furniture has uneven surfaces that you have to account for by rotating the things on top of them slightly to make them match.
- bk_firmament bleeds into the book below it.
- misc_quill floats on one end. Same rotation problem as the book.
- bk_livesofthesaints bleeds on one end and floats on the other. It doesn't have anything holding it up either which doesn't look right.
- de_p_chest_02 bleeds into the floor slightly.
- common_shoes_01 float slightly. Probably should be moved either completely on or completely off the rug. Otherwise you'll have to rotate them so they rest naturally without bleeding.
- misc_de_lute_01 bleeds into chair.
- misc_de_tankard_01 floats.
- ingred_rat_meat_01 floats slightly. It could be bled into the dish slightly to conform to the shape of the dish.
- All of the de_big_rugs should be bled into the floor slightly so that the tassles on the ends are just above the floor.
- bk_Cantatasofvivec and common_belt_01 float on one end. Same rotation issues as the others.
- misc_uni_pillow_01 should be bled into the bed sightly to make it look natural.
- misc_de_goblet_07 stands on a point. If you're going to lay it on it's side you need to rotate it so that it rests naturally.
- com_silverware shouldn't be used in a de_p interior. You might be able to get away with the wooden ones but I doubt it.
- Not sure the skull under the table fits in, but nice job placing it.
- although not technically an error you should rotate one of the breads 180 degrees to make it less obvious that they are the same static.
- steel dagger should be rotated slightly so that its tip rests on the table.
- also not a real error but having things resting on other things doesn't generally work well. There are two books upstairs that have stuff on top of them. If the player picks up the book then the things on them will be floating in mid air.
- Both your interior and exterior door markers are bled into the doors. This can cause porblems going in and out of the interior.
Overall you show good skills with the CS. Your interior could have been a little larger to match the exterior and could have had a touch more detail but it looks good to me otherwise. If you haven't already, be sure to read all the tutorials on the main page. Especially the one on scaling. It makes a BIG difference in how the interior looks.
Fix up all the errors and I'll try to get the big guy's attention and see if we can't get you promoted.

To clean a file, you should use TESAME or MEE (morrowind enchanted edtitor.)Kiteflyer61 wrote:Ok,

BTtW, did you make that model of the stair rug by yourself? If yes, we could always use more modelers and texturers. But especially for the hammerfell project.
Give you a little bumparoo.
After looking around at other showcases, and reading some reviews... ive come to expect reviewers have macros for the line "Clean your mod with TESAME"
Thanks for looking over it. I think im going to switch to rich based statics, the poor variants really are a pain in the ass to work with. The skull really doesn't have an entirely concrete purpose, however I remember the first time a played morrowind, I was an orc with a hideous face, and my first weapon was an iron mace. Ever since that moment this game has always had a brutal undertone to me. I leave small hints in my mods to remind the player that killing isn't a big deal anymore. This shit is dark ages, a skull isn't out of place in a world where meteorites float above cities, lizard-men walk around with shackles latched to their wrists, and scamps (skinless elves) try and sell you ancient alcohol.
All of that aside. I can't resubmit till next weekend.
I'll work on my showcase and hopefully get that promotion. So close to puttin some work in for the cause =) !

we are currently waiting for you to fix your file. If you haven't fixed your file, then why bump it?
Edit: Oh, you have. Next time just put it in a new post. Otherwise people will think you are a crazy needless bumper.

-bk_MysteriousAkavir floated
-I don't understand why there's a skull under an end table upstairs. Is there a definite reason for it being there?
-misc_de_lute_01 does not rest very realistically on the chair
-sc_paper plain bled slightly
-the cell is perhaps too dark, both sunlight and fog settings are at zero. Use other cells of the same architecture type as a guideline when deciding upon light settings.
-one of your tapestries upstairs bleeds into the skirting of the wall it's on
-lots of items placed on de_p furniture haven't been rotated at all. de_p has warped surfaces and you have to rotate items to account for that, either do this or use a different furniture set such as de_r or TR_de_rm (from TR_Data.esm)
-the light_de_lamp_01 upstairs bleeds into the floor quite a bit
-the bookcase downstairs is perhaps a little empty for my liking
Your interior is free of style mixing, and you seem to have a grasp of adequately detailing (bar that one bookcase). Pay a lot more attention to the items you place on de_p furniture, and put some more stuff on that bookcase, and fix all the errors I mentioned, and you're on your way to promotion!
