Ok, time to make all of you feel young! I still have (and still play) Dungeon Hack! Can't remember the exact date it came out but was like '85-'86. No graphics, DOS text based, no two levels ever the same, hard as hell to get past level 5 or 6! I still have a machine running WIN98+DOS (total of 9 PCs + 1 MAC). Also have castle of the winds from '86 or so. BTW, I'm a true "gamer". 30 PS1 games, 145 x-box games, 45 GBC games, 300+ PC games, and just started on PS2 games at 22 games! :) Morrowind is STILL the best game I've ever played! :) Two versions on pc and two on x-box!

Phantasmagoria and the 7th Guest - I used to prefer puzzle games. I remember I paid 80 bucks for Phantasmagoria in 1995.

Believe it or not, Morrowind is the first videogame that I played. So I didn't know there were games before 2000 (or 2002 to be precise). ;)

You know what's also popular? Enormous flying cities and ridable dragons. Maybe TR should invest in navigable ships and underwater cities.

I play FF1 on a regular basis...

I had to drill my NES cartridge open and replace the batteries though.

Via the site of the latest one (http://www.2kgames.com/railroads/railroads.html -look at the botom of the page for the link to origional- simply titled 'railroads' and vastly inferior to its predecesors to my mind - Tycoon 2 would be my favorite).

Railroad Tycoon? Oh, wait, that's Roller Coaster Tycoon. Didn't think it was that old. In terms of PC, I have a bunch of 90's games like Amazon Trail/ Oregon Trail 1, and a bunch of those Learning Company games from when I/my brothers were little. The old ones, that is, like Gizmos and Gadgets and Ancient Empires. Then there's newer oldies, like Rogue Squadron 1. and Age of Empires 1, and (stretching it) Sims 1. Oh, there was Myst, awesome game, 1993.

I had a Gameboy B&W, for which I had Tetris. 1989, so that's maybe my oldest game.

Other than ROMs of course.

Oh, and there's was Number Crunchers. Sometime in the 80s.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Railroad and Rollercoaster tycoon are not the same game at all!

The Origional Railroad Tycoon is like early '90s (not sure exactly), but deffinitely VERY old (I wouldn't be suprised it was of legal drinking age in Australia, 18 years).

Rollercoaster Tycoon and Transport Tycoon Deluxe are real favourites of mine. I remember getting them in a pack for christmas along with Railroad Tycoon II, but I never got into that last one at all for some reason.
