Tamriel Rebuilt Featured in PC Gamer UK!

Post by Lady Nerevar »

Yes, Tamriel Rebuilt made PC Gamer UK Magazine's Top 50 Single-Player Mods list! Our Morrowind project topped in at number 4, whose entry also included a mention of our Oblivion project. :-) We would like to take this time to congratulate all the other mods on the list as well, especially our fellow Elder Scrolls project--Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul--which came in at number 29.

Great modding all, and congratulations!

I spent about half and hour trying to track down a link, but found nothing. Even PC Gamers own site didn't even have a listing for the article, let alone the article itself.

but 4th place, wow! Heres to recognician, CHEERS!

I am indeed also curious as to who is in the top 3. Also, holy shit that's a big name magazine and we're number 4.

I wish I was in Britain so I could get a copy (or had enough money to pay a British person to mail me a copy)

You know what's also popular? Enormous flying cities and ridable dragons. Maybe TR should invest in navigable ships and underwater cities.

Didn't Counter-Strike start as a mod? Or does it not count now that it has been franchised?

The amazing thing is that there are only 3 other mods which are considered superior to TR.

I'm pretty sure one of their regular journos is a big Morrowind fan, he wrote this story in which he apparently uses every mod out there to ghastly effect.

I would also like to put my money on Europa Barbarorum. EB is a very well designed mod and it's makers didn't even the convenience of a construction set to make it.

5. Minerva Metastasis - Half Life 2

"Early Elder Scrolls games could include the entire continent of Tamriel because so much of the world was randomly generated. As later games included more handcrafted content, their scope narrowed. The Tamriel Rebuilt team are recreating those missing areas, beginning with huge areas of mainland Morrowind missing from Elder Scrols III: Morrowind. They've completed two areas so far, with new quests and new characters, all lovingly detailed. A small island for Oblivion is also complete."

I'm pretty sure it's the October edition. I don't think they'd wait until October 1st to release the September edition.

The November one is in the shops already, could be that. I was gonna have a peek but they're all wrapped up in plastic and I can't afford to buy a copy. I was trying to sneakily get it open in the shop but I thought better of it.

JD, considering each regional version of PC Gamer is made by different journalists entirely, I doubt they'll share features.
