It's a common problem.

Sorry. Don't really know exactly what causes it, but it's happened to me a bit. You probably will just have to bear with it.

Two words: Internet Explorer. It's far and away the worst browser available and it's the only one that commonly has problems loading this forum, specifically full or nearly full pages of posts.

To avoid your problem, switch to Firefox or another alternative browser. It's free, and you won't regret it.

This has been a known occurrence for years. We will not fix it.

Could an upgrade to Internet Explorer 8 fix the problem? I have I.E. 7.0 and many websites have banners that suggests to upgrade.

It rarely happens to me. I don't bother. I've used firefox and explorer, and I'm to lazy to change right now. If one is really bugging you, then get firefox.

I wouldn't count on it. Besides, IE 8 is the Windows Vista of browsers; a whole lot of flash but virtually zero functionality. You would be much happier with Firefox. It has a very similar interface, it can import your bookmarks and everything from IE, and above all it actually works.

You're right. IE 8 works on Windows XP as well, but it's probably not worth the download.

Thanks! :)

Here's a trick I've learned. Since it keeps reloading over and over, press esc. and see what happens.

I've done that. I've pressed stop as far along in the loading as I can, but it still only loaded half the page.

Rather than finding workarounds in IE, how about just downloading a real browser.

Topic locked as it has gone as far as it should.
