How do I make Morrowind splashes?

I would like to make some splash screens for morrowind, but I'm not sure how, they say they are a TGA file format, what is that? and can I convert normal images into TGA's?

You have to use a graphic software such as Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro (if you can afford them) or The Gimp (which is completely free). These software can convert any picture to .tga format very easily.

Anyway, as far as I remember splashes must to be created with the right value of height and lenght. I don't remember these values at the moment.

1024x1024 usually, I think. I might be wrong though, but those numbers should work anyway.

Thanks, I was going to convert some screenshots into splashes because the normal morrowind ones are getting BORING
