Extracting meshes from morrowind

Post by Monkey »

Hey people, sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Basically ive been looking around for a while now and i want to be able to extract meshes from morrowind and convert them to obj files so i can remodel/retexture things to make them look better or just add new models cos im quite good at modelling

If any one has any ideas please let me know, im sure this has been answered a million times but i cant find an answer.

By the way i use 3DS max 2009

Use a data.cab extractor to have access to all of the individual files. I would post a link if I had one: hopefully someone else will. A quick web search for suitable software should suffice if you wield the savvy.

Good luck!

Well i can find no cab files in the morrowind directory, i thought that the BSA browser would be able to do it, but i cant even get that to open, let alone extract any files...

Anyone else got any pointers?

You need to unpack TR_Data.bsa to a directory of your choosing using one of the various BSA archive/pack/unpack tools available on the web.

The construction set cd has everything already extracted for you, if you have it.
