I know the mod you speak of. If i recall corectly it isnt actually a seperate worldspace, but is in fact just 'added' to the cyrodiil worldspace (correct me if im wrong, by all means).

Another little known fact is that the person making it actually once applied to join TR. Nothing came of it though, which is kinda a pitty. LN could confirm this one as we both comented on the 'showcase' (a major town).

So, in the hammerfell addon, are you gonna be able to walk straight too it? without hitting the wall that tells you to turn back?

I think it was said that there will be two forts and one cave for sneaky players that you can go to to enter Hammerfell. All of these will transport you to the seperate Hammerfell landmass.

Since in Oblivion worldspaces have a size limit. The whole of Hammerfell simply would not fit into the Cyrodiil worldspace.

I think you're wrong. I believe whole Tamriel can fit into the Tamriel worldspace. IIRC Lady N or Noirgrim or someone else tried to add some landmass, but they decided to use another worldspace.
Another point is that landmass (and even the map) isn't correct outside Cyrodill. If you would look close at the tamriel maps on the main site of bethesda and compare it with the ingame map of oblivion, you would notice that Vvardenfell isn't included.
I have a screen of this, but I can't upload it here.

you'd be wrong. There is a limit to how much custom land you can have in a world space.

But how come? What is it that's limiting you from just creating new landscape across the grid like in Morrowind?

Don't have much experience with Oblivion CS so iv not checked it out

Don't remember, but there is no workaround. I think it crashes or something.

Huh... weird, seems like a strange choice to make over being able to have endless terrain...

Speaking of which, when TR gets maps done near the border are you gonna add an invisible wall and design minimalistic terrain beyond that?

A little like it is in oblivion
