I've added a small empty ruin just off the road due south of the quarry. Its made to have a vague resemblence to the 'Goldmoor LC2' building (complete with stairs at the rear). As a ruin there is no interior. I thought something like this might a nice place to use as a 'wilderness loot stash' type location.

The percentage complete is due to heavy cell texture optimisations that might not all be imediately obvious.

Yeah, sorry about that, I've been down with a bad cold/flu combo. Add to that the fact that, as much as i hate to admit it, i have been lacking on the inspiration side. But I've come up with a couple of new ideas so I'm back into it now. Latest file uploaded (you can scrap old ones if you like - to make space and all). Here are a couple of screenies to show the two access points for the smugglers cave system.

PS: Up-river of the lower cave enterance i was thinking of turning the low lying river bank into a thin marsh strip with lots of 'reed' type plants, small shrubs but only limited numbers of trees all the way to the northern edge of the claim (with 'lookout' style camp at the very edge). Yes or No? Ideas/suggestions?

The two latest screen shots are of two enterences to the same cave (i8-5). There is still the abandoned quarry/mine (i8-1) which is in the same location as the cave enterence created by the previous claimant (i have posted screenies of it too). The two of those and a camp, which i have also finished (needs detail/clutter, but location is pretty much done).

Well Still Waiting on that bridge to get finished up and added to Oot, but thats the only thing i cant actually do at this stage. I have only done aboot half of the rivers west bank so far. Thw east bank is all but completely blank. Add the road north from the bridge and then its just fiddling with boring stuff untill my borederline OCD stops demanding more...

Sounds like alot, but the 50% rating is justified, i swear!

WiP uploaded (is bottom file). Western River bank 90% complete. Swamp strucuraly Complete, needs only final detailing and tweeking. Eastern bank about 1/3 done (especialy in area of the cave enterence). Multiple minor changes in other areas. Will finish eastern river bank then add road along western edge of claim.

@LN: Do you want me to add a new intersection & Road leading towards Harbourside gate?

New version up, Basic roadway along western edge of claim done, only a placeholder for now, still alot more to do to make it 'complete'.

New WiP is up. Nothing to report though. Only 'big' changes are at n/w section of the claim, where i have the road zig-zaging its way up the face of a small ridgeline that would make a good 'marker' for the transition to non-goldmoor terrain.

But this is important. I'm working on something big AS WE SPEAK that i need a yes/no on ASAP. It would provide an awsome location for a ruin, be it Yoku or Dwemer or whatever (open for discusion). It may look a little off as is, but with a ruin in the center it will look, wow!

right now it strikes me as a bit random: add more large rocks and rocky textures around the edges of the formation. maybe raise the land so its embedded in a hill? in general its nice, i recomend playing with some fort ruin pieces for scale.

Odd you should mention working around the fort ruins set, the 'full castle' round base section is what i used to get the basic circular shape. I have added extra rocks around the edges since the shot was taken though it still needs more. One thing i quite proud of that you cant actually see in the shot is that ramp down to the rivers edge is actually a full staircase, using the 'doorstones' set to make both intact and broken stairs the whole way up. I'll have a somewhat more cluttered version up pretty soon, and will post an anotated screen-shot to explain a few of the thoughts i have ratteling around inside my head concerning the site.

A= Enterences to the stairs that lead down to the river (left) and out to the greater region (right).
B= The large yellow circle indicates the area that would contain any and all exterior structure ruins (see also the size reference image for an example).
C= Small, destroyed dock area at bottom of the stairs representing the loading facilities used by the ruin before it was... err... ruined...

This image is mainly to show the size of the area. If i were to build a fort ruin here it would NOT look like this:

and that is all. I have a seperate .esp with everything that i can upload if desired (it made it a seperate esp incase it became necissary to remove the location all together - no deleting and re-editing terrain this way).

can you provide cell coords?

the stairs look great: keep them. its a cool location, could work well as either ancient yoku, imperial (small, if we decide to do one more), or more recent destruction.

Its at the exteam top-right corner of the claim, near the fork in the river (-1,27 i think). Im uploading a new WiP shortly with it and a few other things done.

When you said 'small imperial' you set off a whole bunch of ideas in my brain, some of which dont even include the use of the 'big tower' part of the set...

The River is pretty much done! WOO! So 80% done now, all that remains is 10% the bridge (still cant do what i what with the location without and acurate/final MESH to work with) and 10% cleaning/detailing.

Nothing to update at this point, I'm still waiting on that bridge so i can finish off all the terain/structural work and up status to 90%. All thats left then is a whole bunch of OCD induced detailing (which is almost review level work, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist in this area - less work for reviewers this way too :D ).

This may sound a little repetitive, but no update available. The last update included everything i have models for and general terrain work was it the detailing/bugfixing stage.

Lady N signed off on my ruin location in general theory, but i have nothing to put there (the idea was to use the location for a Yoku ruin for which there is no set as yet. I can put together a placeholder ruin with the Imperial (or even Aylied) set easily enough though.

But before the claim can even come close to being complete, i need a finished bridge. Sure i could work with placeholders, but the problem is that the whole area would have to be re-done with a new bridge, and i hate re-doing work (sure i might not actually fall to me, but i think you get my point all the same).

Finaly, my current install of oblivion has degraded almost to the point of being un-playable, the CS works fine, but i am incapable of testing in-game at this point. (I need to do some serious file cleaning before a re-install becomes a viable option - something i dont really have the patients for at this point due to RL issues).

So basicaly, reguardless if you want me to put in placeholder stuff or not, I probably wont be able to put anything new up untill after Xmas.

You could try using the WIP Nex made of the bridge, if the OB CS is anything like the MW one, it would'nt be too hard to place, then replace with the actual OoT version when that becomes available.

You mentioned you can't test your stuff in-game. If you want me to playtest or give comments, all you have to do is ask :P

I guess i can see what i can do with Nex's WiP bridge (it didn't look to far off from what i could see anyway).

As for playtesting, if you wanted to give it a look, by all means go ahead, any advice/sugestions you could give would be welcome.
