Had a speed painting going and then it sorta died after I read this possible description. Lol. But I like my new mental image now.In the south, the Deshaan Plains slope gently into the stinking pits of Black Marsh, where underground gas vents cause the water of some rivers to flow uphill, bringing one of the main supplies of fresh, richly organic water into Morrowind, while allowing the poisonous liquid that flows in Morrowind lakes and rivers to drain into Black Marsh, where innumerable species of bacteria break down the poisons and purify the water. Consequently, Deshaan is a very fertile region and could, to the untrained eye, almost pass for any number of other temperate areas of Tamriel.
This sounds a lot like prairie lands, some rocks, trees and shrubs but mostly grasses and things like kreshweed; rolling hills like in the grazelands but less rocky and wetter being dotted with small creeks, ponds and steam vents/crevices?(or even hot springs). I'll try and finish all the drawings I've been working on(not just for this) sometime tomorrow evening.
Thoughts or other lore sources?
