Mundane mine with Minerals of Minimal monetary meaning. Look at the screenshot in the 4-9 thread http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/old_forum/viewtopic.php?t=11721&start=160 for a rough idea of the northmarker. Map 4 should be updated soon to include these changes, though in the mean time you can open up the file in that thread alongside map 4 to see the exterior.

Finished, glad to be rid of this one *grumble grumble stupid caves*
Enough people have died in cave-ins and flooding accidents that this place is in danger of being shut down, totally not worth the quite low market price of iron in Morrowind (considering how pretty much every armour style ever is superior, and the Dunmer don't use much iron at all).

It is quite surprising how inferior good old iron is in the world of morrowind. Even armor made of glass (which seems like the stupidest idea ever) seems to give more protection.Cathartis wrote:Finished, glad to be rid of this one *grumble grumble stupid caves*

The native Dunmer much prefer their leather and insect-shell armours, which are lighter and more flexible.
Morrowind glass is firstly a form of obsidian (volcanic glass) which is much tougher than normal glass. Some real world cultures forged their swords from the stuff.
It's also mined from a magical mountain containing the heart of a dead god, so y'know, magic kinda factors into its resilience.
