TES CS clipping/view distance

Post by Bufhimat »

Maybe not completely on-topic but hopefully close enough.
I'm working on a showcase for exteriors and I'm wondering if there's any way to increase the CS' view distance beyond 40960.00?
When working with large landmasses it's a little annoying when I'm zoomed way out and I keep flashing between cell sections.
Anyone know of any tricks?

It should be under File>Preferences. If you've already got it at max then I don't know of a way.

the CS already crashes when you have a cells with many refs, so increasing the clipping distance is quite useless.

Thanks all. I was hoping there was some sort of hack or mod. It's been years since I've done any modding so I wasn't used to it, but I've gotten used to the limited distance now. It's not an issue when I get down into the smoothing and painting of a landmass though, just when I'm raising and shaping land, which didn't take too long.
The craziest thing that was happening is when I was rotating the world and the CS kept flashing over to another section of cells, CS would over compensate and my camera would be upside down underneath the world.

Yeah, you have to be careful when rotating the world(lol), especially when you have many objects selected, the CS tends to crash if you don't handle it gently  8)
