Warped icon problem

Post by Eraser »

I've been working on icons for OoT (so something new can finally be released :) )

The problem I'm having is that alot of them are appearing warped and distorted when i select them is TESCS, but in photoshop, look perfectly fine.

I've tried several techniques, and saved them as different file types, but i can't find anything that affects the warping.

has anyone seen this before and would know how to fix it?

Do the icons need to be certain number of colors?
eg. 64, 128, or 256?

hmm maybe.

I remember morrowind had a problem with texture files that weren't a certain size. I'll try changing the dimensions and color settings

I think that it is best to save them as a .tga with 32x32 maybe more of an even mulitiplication like 64x64 just to make it more detailed..

It should be in an 8-bit channel and saved into a 32bits/pixel from photoshop..

try that...if that doesnt work then I dont know...

it always works for me that way....
