Here are the objects with the changes that you adviced, except new textures for the puff mushrooms (but maybe the texture for the hood of the white mushroom can be used?). There is also a completely new model and new textures for the white mushroom.

I have made two new ash swamp versions of the emperors parasol from scratch, based on these drawings by Myzel:http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/3848/trshroomsashb.jpg. I have also made a new texture for the stem of the mushrooms, because I didn't quite like the other, and I have remapped the UV's accordingly. The last upload still needs to be reviewed though.

I've had a look through both of these and it seems like much of what is in there is the same - The new paralsols look decent as far as the models are concerned but they still have an unaceptable amount of pixellation going on with those white stringy bits - If you resized the textures then you didn't redo them (the strings running over). That needs to be sorted.

The remodeled mushroom now looks better with the twisty stalk but it's a look that pretty much could have been achieved with the right texture usage and wasted polys make me sad.

Sort out those parasol cap textures and I think we can take them and add them to TR_Data. The hanging stringy fungus still looks the same (Too beardy - you know which one I mean). The puffball mushrooms still have uv maps that are outside of the texture boundries and will map badly with a proper texture applied (a puffball mushroom texture...google it and tweak it if you need to).

You removed the fungus strings from the statics so they can be added modularly (is modularly even a proper word?) so they are good to go (logs and trees) - the stump still needs a texture on the puffballs growing on it - again, use the same texture for those as the other puffballs.

I'd say texture the old mushroom properly over using the new higher poly one or drop it and once you've sorted that stuff then we'll have a usable ash swamp set (with a few possible additions further down the line).

Keep up the eagerness! :)

Thank you for the review. I'm not quite sure what you mean with the hood texture, I both resized and redid it. Here is a picture for comparison:
http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/9464/parasolcap.jpg
I can make the texture even bigger, but it as already quite big. Maybe I should only make a corner and mirror it when I make the UV map?
the puffball mushrooms still have uv maps that are outside of the texture boundries
Yeah, I didn't redo them, but that will be done on next upload.

I will take a look at the other things.

Edit: I have changed what you requested:
- New puff ball textures and remapped
- New texture for the hanging fungus (I'm not quite sure excactly what you want though, but more variations can always be added)
- Gave my old white mushroom mesh the new textures (I suppose that was what you ment with:
texture the old mushroom properly over using the new higher poly one
- I haven't changed the hood texture for the big mushrooms though, due to my confusion explained above

Somebody promote this man.

I think it's great that you've taken suggestions and advice into account so willingly and done a great job with the set (and not least of all been very patient with us modders who are so often busy elsewhere).

I'm really impressed with this collection and I'd even go as far as to say that we have a finished ash swamp set here.

A tip I could give you for getting more feedback is to always try and post some screenshots - doesn't have to be in game screens - as most people will inevitably wait for someone else to download and check the stuff out rather than doing it themselves. A quick screenshot keeps the interest up and makes it easier on those modders who don't have nifskope (they do exist).

Good job! :)

Edit: The only thing bothering me was the unfinished looking textures on the stalk shroom - playing around with layer effects in photoshop can make a big difference.

Congrats Gnober! Welcome to the team! Does this mean we now have a completed working ash swamp set now?

Oh excellent! Congratulations Gnober. More modders is always good modders.

Thank you all...
Does this mean we now have a completed working ash swamp set now?
If everyone is satisfied with the models and textures, it is as good as finished... Things can always be added if requested, like extra trees and hanging fungus.

I think that was probably the largest modeling showcase I have ever seen, you more than earned your promotion. Plenty of people said this already, but welcome to the team.

I will be creating an official modeling claim for the ash set soon. Once I do, Gnober, would you be so kind as to claim it (you'll press a button that says "Claim" at the top right corner of the thread), and then once it's granted (which will be as soon as someone sees that you've claimed it), could you upload the ash set there? I know its here and there in this thread, but I would prefer to have it in a proper, centralized location with no side-chatter, that way we can thoroughly assess its completeness, any additions, etc.
