TR at Work!

Post by Haplo »

There's some new footage of TR work out there in the world, of the Heartlands, yet again. However, instead of being covered in ash (like our previous Morrowind videos), now you have a chance to see the beautiful Heartland coastline, traveling from Kartur (Karthor Dale) down through Andothren (Stonefalls) and ending up in the river plantation lands bordering the Thirr River. Enjoy the new video! (In 1080p, if your connection can bear it!)

Edit: Oh my, another video!

Man, MGE just makes the work by the Exterior Department look awesome! I loved it, looks so sweet.

Where's the epic music it deserves? :P

Thank you so very much."

Fantastic video, the coastline looks really amazing with MGE. Great work! I'm looking forward to seeing more videos of the Heartland!

That's us. Busy busy busy. It's good to see a more recent update for visiters to our site. Plus the video rocks.
Warning: may contain large amounts of sarcasm.

Myzel- We never actually see slaves working on Vvardenfell either. They're always just standing there. If you ask me they deserve a good whipping.

Almost scary how much of that video is made up of my claims :P

Gorgeous! I visited that area this summer, so I was surprised that it could look even better. My only issue is the black vertex shading towards the end.

Hm, that's from my recent claim 4-13. It doesn't look like that in game as far as I recall testing it. I'm mostly using 75 75 75 for vertex shading around solid statics... then a lighter 121 121 121 for road and texture seams.

Any darkness in the video is likely down to my in-game gamma settings I imagine. I think most people seem to think I like my games too dark :P

The area most people are commenting about is a bit of the coastline in 4-16. I've already revisited the vertex shading in that area; doesn't look so black, now, but is still obviously a shadow.

And yes, Cathartis, I think all but the last bit of that IS your work :-P I wonder who shot the video...

MSam, I forgot you can't add your own audio to videos once they're uploaded (you can only use the ad-ridden "Audioswap" feature from YouTube's library. In retrospect, we should have simply run it with the in-game music on, but the file without music was 3.8GB! Adding music might have been another 500MB or more... who knows. Hopefully future videos will include sound, we're starting to develop quite the mute pattern here with our videos.

I doubt the mute factor causes people to like the beautiful landscapes any less.

I still haven't tried the first two maps - even though I'm downloading them right now. Still I just created an account here in order to affirm your work.

I've been for a short time part of the AME team if that rings a bell whatsoever and I've seen an amazing work shut down. It's great for me to see that Tamriel Rebuilt seems to keep on going!

your effort is well appreciated,

greetings, Aran Thalion

this is great, you guys seem to be getting better on each map. keep up the good work

and ps. you should realy post more news more often, even though it may seem tedeus fans like me and several others from above love learning what major updates happen or whats going on with the team in general. we want to be kept informed on whats going on,plus it gives more visitors/potental modders a chance to see this and now somethings going on and with that more fans and more modders helping to keep up moral and get this finished faster. you might not agree with me on this but ive seen plenty of sites were posting updates more often has realy helped them out. anyway that was my 2 cents hope you guys continue the great work your doing here.

The reason we hadn't posted anything since April or so was because there was nothing to post. We have just been doing the same old work we were doing then. But hopefully we'll have a lot more to talk about in the future.

In the future could you post about these things in admin, Nemon? I'd like to keep videos private until certain things are taken care of, like naming the video title on YouTube something other than video.wmv, and preparing a second news post, for example...
