MGE Complicated much?

so ive been playing morrowind for hmmm probably 6 years now and i never really got into modding until about last year but i got Mge to work but then my old laptop got hit with a major virus and is dead so when i tried installing mge on this computer every time i turn on distant land and load up my save the game crashes so any ideas? plz let me know

This happens to me each time I try the new nonstable versions. But 3.8.0b works. Make sure you really have a working installation of Morrowind, with correct registry entries (if you are not sure of it, reinstall Morrowind). Having a leftover Morrowind directory without registry entries made my MGE crash.

Well I Have asked it before and usually i get a response that doesnt help me at all and ive found that here is one of the best places toask things because evrybody here is awesome without a doubt

haha but i have reinstalled morrowind and MGE 3.8.0 and i still get a crash when i start up morrowind with Distant land on

What are your system specs? I sometimes find that by adding too much stuff to my distant land (ie setting the minimum statics lower, adding loads of gras etc) the game crashes when I load it up.

i have the apropriate specs and im not using any major mods beside TR yet so i have no clue. i did set all the specs for distant land to low like static quality or texture detail.
