I've been working on a dungeon mod, which I ultimately intended to post as my showcase here once it was finished. Unfortunately, somewhere along the line it somehow worked abotWaterLife.esm into it's list of parent files, despite that .esm never being used during the building process to my knowledge.
Is there any way for me to clean that off? None of the actual references in the plugin involve Water Life in any way, so I don't think it'll cause the whole thing to collapse if I do remove it.

In way over his head.
I use a program called TESDTK (The Elder Scrolls Dependency Tool Kit) for that. I believe it requires Java Runtime Environment. Once you run it, simply select the .esm to remove and hit the minus button. Then close the program. The updated file will be named "Free filename.esp". You should place the TESDTK folder in your \Morrowind\ directory, in order for it to find the Data Files folder automatically.

Thanks. Worked like a charm.
[Edit]: Spoke too soon. The cleaned version is nowhere to be found and the old version has gone phantom like the below plugin.
While I'm fixing things, I also have a problem with a "phantom" plugin file. It was one I was working on earlier, but decided it was a terrible idea (it manually removed all armor not belonging to a complete set), I deleted it.
However, it remains listed as one of the options when I look at the Data Files in the Morrowind start menu. Doing a full search of my computer, including with hidden files displayed, brought up nothing. The start menu listing is the only reference to it, as far as I can tell.
It's not really a problem since it doesn't interfere with anything, but it is annoying.

The new file will be created in the TESDTK folder, have you looked there?
