Border Control???

Post by Mr-NoXX »

I have been watching progress on this wonderful project for a year now and I am just wondering how you plan on doing Morrowind's vast border separating it from Skyrim, The Black Marsh, and Cyrodiil?

Giant mountains with small infrequent passes blocked by forts. We've actually made a good portion of the mountains on claim map 4 already.

I'm not sure how tall the mountains will be going into the black marsh, that might have a different kind of border. That bridge will be crossed when we come to it though.

The border between Morrowind and Black Marsh is almost exclusively jungle and swamp. I don't think you'll find any mountains. We will probably utilize large roots, vines, and branches to make unpassable terrain.

We can't force people who want to see the void not to see it.

Just a stupid idea: how about some "fake entrances" that leads to dead-ends or swamp-traps or such? :)
Just a thought I had... Not to make a wall of trees and mountains, where it can be looking like a natural place... Nothing real thing, I'm just a creative antitalent, so I don't know what to do with a gigantic mod like this...
I hope I didn't said anything stupid or bad... If I did, excuse me.

The border won't be a solid wall of trees or anything strange like that, it'll just become gradually harder to progress until you can no longer fit through the gaps, but can likely still see a short way further.

Our border forts allow you to see through the closed gates a way along the path into Cyrodiil/Skyrim, giving the impression that there's not just empty void out there :)
