Claiming.
Oh my, I can see why this is abandoned. It's a terrible commute, what with the chance of falling into what I'm guessing is a dead volcano.
My idea is that this is an old iron mine, with a lot of collapsed passages that will be annoying to the player (he'll have to find an alternative route). The entrance on the outside will have originally been a back door: there will be a collapsed entrance deeper in the mine (the idea being the old entrance was nearer to the start of the staircases outside).
I don't think anyone besides general creatures would live here, and any sign of occupation will be ruinous and obviously long abandoned (no lights, except possibly some torches offered to the player near the door, and some of those lights the CS displays as a lightbulb)
Quite possibly my longest interior claim message.

you can use the Aeven's file if you want, but you don't have to. In order to claim this you need to click the button that says claim at the top of the thread.

I'd like to claim this
I'm just now finishing up my first interior shack, and now I've got the bug. I've got some cool ideas for this cave, I really want to show the "abandoned" part of this mine. Very dark, very ominous looking. I want to offer a few torches at the start, and make sure the mine is dark enough that they are needed. I don't want to fill this cave with dead bodies, but there will be one for sure, who is partially collapsed under a cave in, who used his last ounce of strength to scribble out a note for his honey back home. (Perhapse this could be a misc. quest to return his note to his lady-friend/family on the surface?)Anyways, I'll start working on an outline for this, and hope it gets granted. Thanks guys
T
Im working off of what you two left behind, so far the base looks good. I made a few minor changes, one being that I added a descending tunnell to the cave you originally created. I just felt that when entering a mine you should feel like you are descending. It also fits the exterior better now. But no, what was left behind looks good!
Just an update. The mine is coming along nicely, with a very "abandoned" look to it. Plenty of overgrowth, damaged structure, flooding, etc...
Furthermore, I've got an idea for a misc quest I'd like to incorporate into this interior, but I'm not sure who I have to run this by..
The mine is flooded, probably due to mining too near the river. One of the miners, instead of fleeing the mine, decided to seek some high ground and wait out the flood so that he could grab some treasure for himself and his family. Upon searching the mine, the player will find the dead miner, a note detailing his plans, and a key he snatched for the company lockbox. After finding the lockbox and retrieving the treasure and delivery invoice (handfull of jewels and gold coins[500 or less]) the player would have several options; complete the delivery to the town hall in the nearby city, give the treasure to the miner's family, as per his request, or of course, the player could keep it for themself.
I think it would make a good minor misc. quest option atleast. I'd appreciate any thoughts

Also, I'm still having a problem viewing and placing TR_ custom objects. I have inserted Archive 2=TR_Data.bsa under the "archive" section of the morrowind.ini file, saved, and restarted the construction set and they still won't show up... Any help would be great appreciated[/b]

Another update. Enclosed is a file of my progress so far, feel free to take a look and offer any thoughts. The tunnels and corridors between cave "rooms" are intentionally very dark. Keep in mind that torches are provided in the beginning, and more will be added in obvious places just in case. Thanks!
