After a very long absence, I have returned, albeit at a much reduced capacity.

Gonna claim this to get my feet wet with the CS again. Something small and sweet seeing as I'm still pretty tight on timing.

[can someone put me in the Interiors group too? I noticed I'm only on exteriors, but I do both.]

Good to be modding again :)

Though after making Necrom, I think I have a bad tendency to make things too big :/

Latest WIP has the shell done. It goes quite a bit down and turned out to be alot more extensive then I first imagined. The bottom-most chamber (the one with the two open holes) is where the break-in will occur. Lots of baddies here. Pretty tight operation I would guess.

I had a quick view, mainly to see how the Dwemer ruin could be built. What I found is like 4-5 levels of tubes and rooms on top crossing one another. I am afraid it will look bad on the minimap, and difficult to navigate. And yes the size is big, maybe downsize it to 80% of what it is.

Prae you beat me to a comment! :P

Anyway was gonna say, Far out man, this is pretty big. Giving me a hard to trying to build a ruin around this hehe :P, nah, but don't worry I'll manage.

Let me know if you want to connect the two ints up at all. 8)

I will see about downsizing. I like the current layout though.

Relin, you don't have to link the interiors, but feel free to use pycave statics in some of the caved-in sections of the ruin. :)

Progress: Began to detail the upper passageways, nothing big to report. This is pretty slow as usual, but I haven't forgotten it quite yet :P

I have about a quarter of the cave detailed with rocks now. Looks very nice, though spacing is tight. I still gotta figure out how the dwemer thing is gonna play into all this, so I'm leaving the bottom untouched...for now.

I will have a progress file (one worth looking at that is) in a few days :)

Moved up to 30%. These passages are a pain. I'll get some screens soon.

40-45%. Nearly haven't had as much time to work on this as I anticipated, but it's moving.

I got 2 of the major rooms with crates now, and I'm starting to add some lighting into the first passages. Going to take a break on the rocks-static because this part is painfully the slowest.

I might cut down the size a little from the bottom, but I'm still deciding on that.

You should upload a file. Don't want this being lost if your computer inexplicably asplodes or some other unexpected calamity, eh?

File uploaded (top)!

Sorry for being a PITA.

Don't be decieved by how little appears to be done, you have absolutely no idea how detailing those passages in the fashion that I do is can be painstaking and tedious. Each one is hand-placed, rotated, and scaled :P

I'm open to cutting the lower passages off entirely. Perhaps tapering off the amount of rocks will help? It might cause a FPS hit on older mashines. I'd have to take a look at RelinQ's progress of the dwemer ruin though. I might axe the whole break-in idea completely.

Finished two rooms and am creeping further towards the bottom of the cave. The dwemer passages is a tentative thing. ATM I don't like the way it works so I'm probably gonna scrap the part that goes to the big room.

What 'cha guys think?

(the slow progress is inexcusable, but please bear with me!)

Personally I'd get rid of the dwemer path, it doesnt really go anywhere near where my int is and it looks a tad strange tbh.

btw I've checked my int and yeah it fits perfectly fine with your int, no collisions what so ever, so thats all good.

Before I get harassed about progress, I'm thinking of dropping this now that school has started.

I know, lamesauce but that's life (at least for me) :(

I'm about 65-70% done though. If I can't finish this in 2 weeks, I'll tell you guys. I will kill some of the lower passages probably.

Will put up a WIP as soon as I can, not even near my place right now.

Hey Swiftoak, it's been a few weeks. Any news on whether you want to continue this? (Or a WIP file?)

I want to work on this.

I just hate lying. I've always been an on-off person, but when I'm on I put alot of work/detail into my claims (Necrom is proof of that).

I would ask you to revoke this, but I want to keep the interior consistent. I don't know what I should do.

Here's a WIP, but I've made little progress (mostly churning out rocks on the passages still).

It's not like the interior is high priority or we're hurting for available claims or anything, just give us a quality product at the end and everything'll be gravy :P

Nothing noteworthy to warrant a WIP. I got some time to finally work on this yesterday. I'm pretty much 80% done the passages.

I'm going to tweak the lower tunnels a bit and potentially remove the dwemer part entirely.

Please revoke this.

Sorry I won't be around for awhile anyways.

Use this. Feel free to either finish the lower caverns, or cut them down. (no progress from last WIP).

Hey,

Can I claim this and just polish off the ending? I'm going to use Swiftoak Woodwarrior's last WIP, reduce some of the paths and put some more smuggling stuff in there.

I'll keep the Dwemer exit too, unless you want it removed. This really won't take long because it's practically done.

Sure, go for it. Keep the Dwemer stuff, I assume it doesn't connect to the ruin nearby, but is part of the same superstructure.

Not as simple as I thought it would be. The cave was absolutely gargantuan (but bits were sort of superfluous), so I've cut it down by about a third. I've cut down a lot of Dwemer stuff too since it was just going no-where, but the entrance and cave bit I saved. The crates on the floor aren't exactly all level, but they're pretty good and I don't think anyone would notice with the dark lighting. I've put rocks in every cave part now and I just need to do one more room that seems a little bare, but then again I guess it's a cave...

Yay or nay for bones scattered around? They seem a bit stupid to me.

Okay, that should be good enough to go now. It's a HUGE cave. Some crates may look funny on the ground but it's difficult to place them. Still needs people and creatures of course.

TESAME: Clean

Fits exterior: Yes

Northmarker set: Yes
Loading errors: No

Review: Some caspering rocks. I fiddled with the crates a bit. Also, I removed a bunch of centurians, they shouldn't be there.

Comments Giant cave, good minus the errors.
