Thanks for the recommendation, Cat, and for the feedback LadyN.

If it wasn't specifically for Necrom, I'd definitely prefer the Imperial textures for this, because of the problems you've mentioned.
I might try and find some different textures for the gold strip part, as that's the most noticeable problem. I'll have to look at some Indoril textures and see if there's anything suitable.

I would highly recommend modifying existing textures a little bit (tweaking, here or there) so they fit with the new model in situations like that.

In that case the idea was to use existing textures so that it wouldn't look out of place with texture replacers, but I think we've got enough new stuff that that won't be too much of a concern anyway.
