Kaamos's Exterior Showcase

Post by Kaamos »

Hello all,

I've built a small village right next to Seyda Neen; although its not intended to be part of it, I put it there simply so it would be easier to access.

One point I'll make is that whilst the village is designed as a poor shanty fishing village, there are imperial guards throughout. As it is a generic settlement there was no thought as to which faction it belonged to so I just threw in the nearest guards I could find.

First off, the shantytown didn't look bad, but I don't think you have read the sticky threads regarding exterior showcasing.

Exterior cells should have 200 references minimum, unless otherwise specified. Also, you must have at least 6 cells. DO NOT MAKE AN ISLAND. You can make six cells out in the wilderness or in an unmodded area, but DO NOT MAKE IT AN ISLAND. That is; the six cells should be ALL LAND. If you want your "landmass" to meet the water "naturally", that's cool, but do it in cells outside of the six "showcase" cells.

Classic case of RTFM.

Is there a way to view the size of a cell in the CS? I gather the size of it is 4096 units^2 though this can hardly be visualized in my head!

Edit: The cell size I listed was for Oblivion, Morrowind's are double that size.

If you press the B button while the cs is open, the cell borders will be shown.
