What's your favorite "unusual" area so far in TR?

Post by RaptorZX3 »

While going around the map (TR Map 1 & 2), i found that i have a personal preference for small isolated villages, where i would like my own place i could call home for my character.

That's why my unusual favorite area so far is Verulas Pass.

Basically, it look very small, inn, shop, only the strict necessary visible around, with a nice hidden Morag Tong base.

My favourite area is the woods around Bosmora, deep in the Lan Orethan.

I'm going to go with the city of Almalexia, it truly is a sight to behold.

Pretending to have a bias in these matters, I am going to claim Hlersis. Just for the lulz.

I like just about all the regions of the mainland. Well, minus Helnim and Windmoth of course. But yes, claim Hlersis, and I shall claim.... - awe damn I already claimed almalexia >.<

I like how this started as a thread about released areas and how we end up talking about unreleased content only.

Of the released things, definitely Llothanis. Great example of how confusing a proper Telvanni town should be.

Of unreleased stuff, I'm torn between Baan Malur, Narsis and the Ash Swamp. Baan Malur because I helped conceptualizing it and it turned out even better than I had imagined. Narsis because of the storytelling potential the city has. The Ash Swamp because I love how different yet completely appropriate it is.

To be completely honest though, I prefer the Hlaalu manor I gave the interior to and what Nemon made. And the Scamp-made Daedric ruin that I interiorized to become a frozen lair.

There's a certain branch of a certain guild loacted in a certain city, and I have an idea for the interior design I would like for this certain branch of a certain guild located in a certain city.

Personally I think that'll be awesome when it finally comes out....but that's an interior so it doesn't really count does it lol.

Also, it's horribly outdated I know, but I really do like the city of Port Telvannis, as far as our released content goes anyways.

For me it would probably have to be the Ash Swamp or some parts of the Velothi Mountains. The ash swamp for it's bleak, foreboding atmosphere, and the mountains for their sense of epic scale, hidden surprises to explore and awesome views from the top :)

Almost the same as Why. Baan Malur, Almalexia or the Ash Swamp - probably only because I haven't seen screenshots of the new Narsis (anyone who can point me in the right direction?)

Baan Malur is so friggin awesome I can't even comprehend it properly. Almalexia is so huge, detailed and great. The Ash Swamps is one of the most awesome purely TR created areas I look forward to travel in, same will probably go for the Deshaan plains.

This ruin is probably still among my favourites

With this (is a link) as the interior. If it weren't for the interior, I would love it less. I am quite satisfied with that ruin. Not bad for my first Daedric ruin ever.

Wow Andres, you really outdid yourself there. I'm impressed. Is that finished or are you still working on it?

Quite sure I linked that to you when we first met. o.O But yeah, finished. Just waiting in final review. The exterior is obviously Scampwork.

No, you linked the screenshots. I haven't actually been inside it, I was wondering if the entire thing was done or not. And yes, did Scamp make that exterior, because it looks really nice. Although I've always found Bloodmoon textures to be really nice looking, but that's just my opinion.

My favorite unusual area if counting telvannis is Bahrammu, I like this quiet place in middle of nowhere, if talking about unreleased content it would be Old Ebonheart just for being so massive. Favorite or rather interesting unusual area would be ruined imperial style fort in map 4 mountains in cell 4-5 in think.

The mountains pretty much represent a leap forward in terms of TR exterior quality.

Yeah I can certainly see that. I was wandering around some areas on map 7 and those "mountains" were just sea floor raised up in little lumps.

Compare that to what we have now as far as landscape goes, and the vast improvement is unbelievable.

Don't forget that the BM models are higher quality. But I certainly agree that the pictures look great. Can't wait till we get there.

I am confused. Map 7 at TR is our Stirk mod for Oblivion. You mean the 7th release? :-P

I'm really fond of the Sacred Lands. My favorite place is the road between Akamora and the Inn Between . There's a custom made river, and a bridge, and it's just so nice looking.[/img]

Being that all of Morrowind could be considered a pretty 'unusual' place, I'd say anywhere is an option. :P But so far I've been pretty impressed with Akamora (despite getting stuck on the stairs all the time). Although I still haven't checked out the ruins of Kemel-Ze, and I hear they are pretty impressive.

since the Sacred East update, there's another small unusual place i like, the Hunted Hound Inn, inside and around this area.
