5-31-Red

Claim type: Exterior
Claim ID: TR_5-31-Red (#2450)
Faction: Redoran
Claimed by: Nemon
Status: Approved (Progress: 100%)
Location: (-37,21):(-35,20), Size: 6

Uld Vraech, wilderness, roads and village.

Please download the merged map 5 found here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/75536686/Map%2 ... 02012b.rar - and work from the esp. Smooth/fix and change landscape if necessary, preferrably not so much at claim borders.

Note that cleaning irrelevant cells may create land tears, so backup your work regularly and often. It is advisable to keep neighboring claim cells while working on your claim IF they are in a acceptable finished state, as to keep static/texture/style consistency in our work. If in doubt, look to earlier finished claims for reference.

The program TESAME is ok for cleaning.

5-31 includes the little nord settlement of Frakhelm (name undecided), a fishing village at the northern tip of the mainland. It is situated under a huge cliff formation, and the claimant is expected to make the rest of this shoreline a mixture of ice covered water and steep cliff sides, hard to traverse and potentially deadly to jump down.

I suggest one of the quests revolving around a local mage asking you to cast a spell of stopfallingrocks to make the locals feel safer, since the local chief doesn't care much since he's got an awesome helmet.

The road needs heavy detailing, and regarding the rest of the landscape remember this is the northernmost part of UV, meaning chilly snow, zero or little vegetation and general hostile environments.

See this picture for regional borders, roads and rivers. Some roads are a little "off" in the Uld Vraech part, but the merged map file has the layout we're aiming for.

Frakhelm, a nordic village in 5-31. This settlement lies at the northern coast, sheltered by large cliffs and dense forest in the narrow valley southwards. Main trade: Fishing. NPCs: Mostly nords, some dunmer looking for work. Architecture: Skyrim-set from Lestat.

I'm taking this to make an example of how northern shore stuff is to be made.

Not much done, obviously. Almalexia is priority now, although I do the odd thing here and there.

Updated, WIP uploaded. It should match Melchior Dahrk's 5-8 pretty well.

Grats Nemon to getting one more done! But... am I missing another iceberg mesh?

New file uploaded, I accidentally removed the pier from the file, rendering stuff floating so much it almost gave poor 'ol arvisrend a stroke. It has been fixed now, alongside other errors posted. The ice chunks are tricky, to be honest. Stupid mesh.

TESAME: Clean

Fits exterior: Yes

Northmarker set: Yes
Loading errors: No

Review: Fixed all previously identified errors. Didn't see anything else wrong of note.

Comments Another great northern claim Nemon. Keep up the great work! Enjoyed the little village tucked into the mountain slope by the sea.
