Sir Slaughterfish's Showcase
Hi! I am relatively new to this, and I don't really know if I cleaned it right or submitted it right. But I really hope someone can review this! Its a small Velothi tomb, coc showcase to access it in game

Hello SirSlaughterfish and welcome to the Tamriel Rebuilt forums! The forums are a bit empty these days, I don't know if a lot of people have started school, or are just hard at work with Almalexia. Or perhaps they're just busy with something else.
I'll give your showcase a look, but I'm a bit busy myself too, so I don't know if I'll be able to do a full review. Have patience, though. Someone will give it a proper look when they have time!
Oh and in the meantime, join us in the Tamriel Rebuilt IRC channel by clicking the TR Chat link in the top.

Thanks guys! Yeah I'm pretty busy too with school and taking a serious look at your first 3 releases... (Which are incredible by the way) so no rush

Hello and welcome to our forum! We have certain guidelines as to what an interior showcase should include. It should be at least 2x3 in size, it should include a basement or top floor and it should fit a preexisting exterior (which need not be included, nor linked to; a good start would be an interior that fits a Hlaalu shell, because there are plenty interiors you could use as a reference as to what an interior should look like, and it's fairly easy to review). We require a showcase to use de_p furniture; this would show us how you deal with object rotation. That's why I suggest you should start anew, but don't feel discouraged. When you do make a new showcase, throw in more clutter (100+ references at least), don't add creatures and pay attention to rotation (the hypha facia you placed in the tomb doesn't rest properly on the ashpit; always double-check the bottom surface of any object you place on top of another). Once again, don't feel discouraged, let the interior speak to the player about its occupant and most importantly - have fun!

Hi Jule! Thanks for responding to my showcase and clarifying your requirements (I wasn't too sure what to build). Now that I know, I'll get to work right away on a showcase that hopefully has the proper specifications

Hello again! Took me awhile, but I was able to complete a Balmora style house. As far as I could see, it had no errors, but you guys will probably find 1,000 things wrong with it
haha hope it comes out okay.

Okay, here we go:
Gridsnap is on
Lightning settings are alright
Illegal to sleep here has been checked
TESAME says your file is dirty. You should clean it.
Style mixing - none.
Now for the review:
Upper floor:
- misc_de_pot_mottled_01 and cyrodiilic brandy bleeding into shelf
- bottle of shein bleeding into chest
- furn_de_p_chair_01, furn_de_screen_guar_01 and furn_de_p_table_02 bleeding into floor
- pillow bleeding a bit too much into bed (yes, it should bleed, but not this mucH)
- the knot on the rope of the tapestry_05 is bleeding into a beam
Lower floor:
- furn_de_tapestry_01 is floating in mid-air, their posts are rotated away from the wall
Big problem: you only rotate things around the Z-axis. What does this mean? With de_p furniture, it automatically means that almost all of your clutter is partially floating and partially bleeding into the surface it has been placed on, both at the same time. This just won't do. You will have to adjust the X and Y rotation as well if you wish to make everything fit just nicely. I think a picture or two would better show you what I'm trying to explain.
I've used a redware flask from the shelf on the upper floor to show you what I'm talking about, but this applies to virtually everything that stands on an uneven surface in your interior. Also, please avoid placing a lot of the same items in clusters, especially if you don't plan to rotate them. As far as cluttering goes, variety is the name of the game.
Rotating stuff might seem tiresome and frustrating, but it's easy once you get the hang of it. Don't worry, all it takes is some practice.

Ok, I think I fixed everything... I had no idea all the tapestries were backwards! As for the cleaning and the rotating, I tried my best.

This is a lot better, however there are still a few things that bug me. First of all, in the second file you submitted, all the bowls with the pointy bottoms were placed correctly, which means they were sunk into the surface they are resting on. In your third file, however, none of them are sunk into those surfaces anymore, or at least not enough. The four pieces of misc_de_cloth10 on the top floor have not been properly rotated and they are floating over the shelf on one end. While you did a good job on the rotation overall, most of the clutter now floats above the shelves ever so slightly. You can see this if you zoom in carefully in the CS. Also, the bookshelf on the bottom floor now sticks through the floor. I am very sorry, but you will have to start a new showcase now. You are close to a successful showcase, just not quite there yet.
By the way, I'm sorry it took me so long to review this, but real life has kept me rather busy lately.
