Skyrim Guinness World Record Attempt!

Post by Katze »

Hello people of Tamriel Rebuilt!

Just here to say you should all totally check this out. My friend Jason and his brother Adam of Nostalgic Quests are going to be attempting to break two Guinness World Records on Tuesday the 12th of March.

They'll be attempting to play Skyrim and the Resident Evil Series for the longest time possible, in the Wulfrun Centre in Wolverhampton, England.

Here's a snippet from Adam:
On the 12th March myself and my brother will be breaking two Guinness World Records.

One is the longest time playing a survival horror series, which the record stands at 27 hours and 8 minutes. (Which Jason will be attempting to break, playing the Resident Evil Series)

The other record is longest time playing a Role Playing Game, which the record currently stands at 48 hours 14 minutes. (Which Adam will be attempting to break, playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim)

We are doing this inside the Wolverhampton Wulfrun shopping centre.
This will be raising money from the Make a Wish Foundation, and their donations/event page is here.

Please check them out and show your support, and if possible a couple of dollars/pounds/whatever :)

I will be attempting to livestream from the event when it happens so you can drop in and watch their attempt! I'll keep you all posted when that goes live.

EDIT: Oh also they have a Facebook page if that's more your thing, which can be found here.

Also, this post from Adam on the UESPwiki forum thread he did:
I've had an idea today.

For every £1 or $1.5 someone donates they get one vote for a characteristic for my character for example:
Name, Gender, Race, Right arm, Left arm, armour or robes, and difficulty.

And i'll put the choices into a pot and just before or the night before depending on the amount of donations I'll post a video or do a livestream showing me picking the choices.

You can pick as many as you like just make sure it's clear and how many for each characteristic , and leave the comment to me or on the donation page.
Pretty cool, right?

The radio interview they did from a couple of weeks ago about the event is now up on Youtube, it's a pretty cool listen :)

I wish them glory and fortune in their endeavour! Sounds like a glorious plan.

We finished the record attempt yesterday, both guys achieving a time of 54 hours, and with luck, a Guinness World Record each! Just gotta wait for GWR to verify the evidence. Thanks to all who donated or supported us, you were great :)

I have uploaded the final interview with Adam and Jason at the end of the record attempt here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yD7hDExpIgM

During the livestream Cathartis sung an Andressong and they found that Andres rhymes with pancreas.
