(Nice advertising)
To whom it may concern, you can also access my channel through Cat's for a less amusing Skyrim playings by yours truly. Alternatively, here's a link.

I'll definately take a look at this later. I beat the first Penumbra game "Overture" last year and I was about half-way through Black Plague when I became swamped with school work. Perhaps I should get to work finishing it so I can watch your Let's Play without having stuff spoiled.

Sorry for the thread necromancy, but I don't think it really matters much in Off-Topic Discussion.
Anyway, I finally got around to watching your Let's Play, Cat, and I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far. Your commentary is top notch, and you make reasonable progress with each episode. You're also a whole lot braver playing the game than I was, believe it or not. It probably took me three times as long to beat it, mainly because I spent the whole time creeping around, leaning behind every corner, and hiding from those alien things.
It's a shame you couldn't play the first Penumbra game before going into Black Plague. There are plenty of great moments in it, and the mine it's set in is appropriately creepy and creates a overwhelming feeling of isolation. The combat is absolutely terrible, of course, but at least that means you feel helpless and scared when going up against enemies. I believe it is possible to get through the game using only stealth, but for whatever reason I put up with the cumbersome controls and killed everything in my path. People who think Morrowind's combat is bad have nothing to complain about.

I could do a series of Penumbra: Overture one of these days if you think it'll be sufficiently interesting
Thanks for the feedback, I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, too.
I think my next video series will be Bioshock, which I'll be running alongside the Magicka one I'm currently doing with Andres

Hope this isn't thread necromancy, but...
What Let's Play series do you have on your channel? I've just been watching some of Andres Indoril's Skyrim series, and I was wondering if there was a series on your channel that you might recommend, so that I may watch it some time.
P.S. Am I becoming the creepy newb that asks too many questions?

But that's just my opinion, so it's likely completely stupid.

His Let's Play of Penumbra: Black Plague is quite good, as I've stated before in my above posts
Of course, since Black Plague is a sequel to a game that Cat hasn't done an LP of, you might want to check out this other LP of Penumbra Overture first, if you're unfamiliar with the series:

I'm sorry, but is it a game series like Amnesia? I can't stand those games. Make me too jumpy, you see, but nothing against Cat's LP or the design of the game, of which I have no doubt are both excellent. I appreciate your link, Yeti, and I'll watch sometime when I have time.
But that's just my opinion, so it's likely completely stupid.

The Magicka series of myself and Cathartis is on Cat's channel, so you should totally watch that.

You know, if anybody's looking for some really good Let's Play videos to watch, I'd highly recommend a series called "Super Replay." Its produced by Game Informer magazine, and has some of the funniest and most insightful commentary I've ever heard in a Let's Play. The GI editors have some pretty entertaining personalities, especially Tim Turi, Andrew Reiner and Dan Ryckert, who are on most of the videos. They've provided endless entertainment for me over past few years.
Some of their best videos are when they play hilariously bad obscure games and struggle through them. My favorite Let's Plays styled videos of all time are probably the ones they did for the PS1 games Overblood and Cyberia.

When I get around to it, I'm planning to do a long-play of Bioshock, and I'd like to do the first Penumbra game one of these days, too. I'm just nowhere near as prolific with my video making as Andres appears to be o.O

Bioshock is nowhere near as creepy as Penumbra or Amnesia, it's mostly a straight-shooter with a novel visual design.
