No more Skyrim DLC
No more Skyrim DLC!
WHHHYYYYYYY?!!!!
They could've AT LEAST put Spellmaking and spears in the game before annoucing something like that, or AT LEAST say they were done after Dragonborn instead of playing on our hopes tor three months!
Argh!

I really don't see why people make such a big deal about spears. They don't fit the combat style of the game at all with the movement based stuff. I really can't see spears working properly in Skyrim. And like Nemon said, there's still mods. DLC mainly adds story. There are tonnes of mods adding new mechanics and items. Just Google Skyrim Spears Mod, or whatever.
Me, I'm a bit disappointed we won't be seeing much of a conclusion to the whole Alduin business. Who was he. Where did he go. When will the kalpa end. That sort of stuff.

I'd be very surprised if Beth's next game isn't Fallout 4.
I do wonder what caused them to stop their Skyrim DLC - I can't imagine they planned on only two content expansions only. Maybe the whole PS3 porting problem did cost them more than we assumed. Or, maybe the XBox exclusivity hurt their PC sales. I honestly hope the latter, the exclusivity was annoying as hell.
At least from a gameplay perspective, the DLC was fun. I don't care for the vampire lore the way it's presented, but Apocrypha and Hermaeus Mora were pretty good. In retrospect, I think Apocrypha was the best part of Skyrim.

Not really surprising. Beth seems to have exhausted DLC ideas for Skyrim. The returned to Solsthiem, which I predicted they would since they'd announced Skyrim as their next province, and had a major story line expansion before that in Dawnguard. That's about on par with the dlc they released for Oblivion.
What I really want to know is what ever happened to Prey 2, a game Beth is publishing that seems to be in development hell.

I'm a bit dissapointed they didn't add a Thalmor-based expansion. Something to add on to the Civil War. Have the Stormcloaks rally against the Thalmor if they win, doing so by brute force and battles, but if the Empire wins, they'll make you perform subtle espionage and weaken their hold in Skyrim, until they either storm the embassy themselves or somehow convince the remaining Stormcloaks to do it.
And they could make it so that you can join the Thalmor as well, having a questline to give the Thalmor complete control over Skyrim.
And polearms could be used in Skyrim. For one, they can be used by Nords, though a bit differently than Dunmer, and they could use them on horseback. Maybe one-handed spears/polearms? Just that they teased it in the game jam thing, so they have all the animations and models and stuff.

Didn't Bethesda say they would develop more Skyrim DLC? I think Redguard was one of the names for DLCs in development, but was cut for the reasons stated in Bethesda's official annoucement that they would not develop more Skyrim DLC. If they were truly done, they would've annouced that after they released Dragonborn. It must've been some problem with getting it to work on PS3, and they were not willing to spend more time on it when other people are more anxious for TESVI.
Personally, I think that TESVI will completely suck for PS4, because Sony always gets the butt of the shaft.

I do not think Redguard was ever announced as DLC and was but only a rumour. I also heard something about a remake of the original Redguard.

Eh, it was one of the two. But it's just so weird, how Bethesda had us wondering for a few months, then annouced that they were finished. Not normal. Why the three-month wait? They can't be working on FO4 right now, would they? I myslf have never played Fallout, and maybe I should, but will have to wait for moving out of my family's house. Can't let my eight-year-old brother see that kind of stuff.
But that's just my opinion, so it's likely completely stupid.
