Exovian's Interior Showcase

Post by Exovian »

As stated, this is my interior showcase. It is a lower-class (de_p style) Hlaalu house, designed for a retired Temple warrior. To get there, coc "Showcase Interior".

esp is clean, light settings are fine, northmarkers set, uses gridsnap, illegaltosleep checked. Now for the details:

- furn_de_p_bookshelf_01 slightly floating
- almost everything on the bookshelf is slightly bleeding into the shelves and most items haven't been rotated at all (you should rotate them so they stand properly on the surface beneath them)
- active_de_p_bed_14 bleeding into the wall
- chitin spear slightly bleeding into the wall
- netch_leather_shield slightly bleeding into the floor and the wall
- the items on the table and the shelf lack proper rotation
- too many overlapping sources of light, you should either eliminate a few of them or replace them with sources of light with a smaller radius
- netch_leather_helm needs to be rotated to sit on three points, because the present arangement looks a bit unnatural (there are no physics in Morrowind, but things like these tend to harm the feeling of immersion)
- the chair and table are ever so slightly bleeding into the floor, but nothing major

-- one of the requirements for interior showcases is for them to include at least two floors; please add a basement or another floor to the interior

Overall a nice interior, feels cozy, just needs another floor and a lot of rotation to look and feel perfect. Do be careful when you add another floor, because your interior must fit a pre-existing exterior, and your current layout is not very common for Hlaalu houses (the door is usually on the longer side of the house).

Actually, that's not a requirement. As long as the cell has a minimum of six tiles (which he has) he's all set.

On the other hand, while the door is in a rather unusual place, I think it could still work. Just try to be more mindful as far as door placements and whatnot goes. It's gotta match the exterior shell.

Changes:
-added basement
-there was a hole in the bottom of the bread mesh (that no one noticed) that was visible on the loaf sticking out of the basket. The offending loaf has been removed.
-the book rotation would not work with the de_p shelves, so the standing books are gone
-tons of minor rotations.

Ok, noticed a few minor bleeding errors, so here's a quick fix for that...

Alright, I will review this within the next few hours or so unless someone else gets to it first.

Just posting this so I remember for later

Light settings OK, northmarker set, fits exterior, uses gridsnap, no style mixing, no errors while loading, file is clean, illegal to sleep checked. Now for the details:

- not a lot of variety in the basement, but after all it's only a basement, so meh
- barrel_01_cheapfood5 floats above the other barrels
- crate_01_food duplicated but not moved
- misc_com_basket on table could be placed better, though this arrangement isn't bad either since the floating end doesn't really stand out
- bk_bookdawnanddusk - one edge bleeds into the shelf; nothing major though
- misc_de_glass_green_01 floats above table
- netch_leather_boots bleeding into the shelf
- misc_de_glass_green_01 bleeds into the bookshelf slightly; nothing major
- misc_com_redware_vase bleeds into the table slightly; I think some rotation would do the trick
- none of the items on the shelf above the table have been rotated, but I could let this one slide since they are not of the same type so there's still a lot of variety

Well done, this looks good! A nice, cozy house. Some small mistakes, but nothing major.
I'd like to see these fixed before I recommend you for promotion.

- Basement contents have been left as they are, it's a lower class storage basement, with food being the priority, as you said.
- barrel_01_cheapfood5 is no long floating.
- crate_01_food duplicate is removed.
- An extra 0.5 x-rotation was applied to the basket, bread was "f"-d to settle it.
- bk_bookdawnanddusk should be fixed
- misc_de_glass_green_01 is no longer floating
- netch_leather_boots no longer bleeding
- misc_de_glass_green_01 no longer bleeding
- misc_com_redware_vase
- A few bottles on the self above the table have been rotated a bit, mainly to change the angles of the jug handles a bit. Looks a little less like a display shelf now.

Much better. Good enough for promotion.

Once my slow OS gets moving, I'll have added you to the usergroup so it's just up to one of the admins to change yo title and stuff.

Congrats!
