Is there a preferred installation for Modders that covers configuration, mods, enhancements, versions?
I recently had a hard drive crash and need to reinstall Morrowind. I'm running windows 7, and have the GOTY version of the game. I know I have to install Morrowind Code Patch to see the larger map - but is there anything else I should install, or any options in MCP that shouldn't be used? I know that I shouldn't use any mods that replace the vanilla meshes/textures, like the MSGO 3.0 enhancement package - do I need to be concerned about anything else?

Most modders have a testing save with no mods loaded so you know that any error messages are caused by the one mod you happen to be testing at the time.
