My little friend (Wil)

Post by DestinedToDie »

Entry 52:

I've had it! I'm leaving the mages guild so that I can finally get some practice without high rank members telling me off whenever I request permission to try to summon so much as a scamp. I'll show them what I can really do!

Entry 53:

I found a place for the ritual. Infested with rats, but at least no one will disturb me here. It'll take some time to set things up and get what I need to bind the daedra. There's no rush, however. I'll take things slow to ensure that nothing will go wrong. You have to take extra caution when summoning a being so powerful, after all.

Entry 54:

All is set! I've quadruple-checked every single thing so that there is no chance for error. Still, I am somewhat nervous, as it is is my first attempt. Might this day be my last?

Entry 55:

The ritual went smoothly, although the result wasn't anything I could have ever predicted. On my shoulder now sits a boney grey little creature of miniscule proportions. The thing is no taller than the length of my thumb, and in its squeaky voice, it energetically proclaims the issue of its empty stomach. I have made multiple attempts to make conversation, but the response is always the same one word. I'll take the bait and see what happens.

Entry 56:

My little fellow Hungry is growing up. Named him after the first word that came out of his mouth. And a fitting name it is - No matter how much I feed him, he looks at me with his cute hungry face. I don't mind having him as a pet, since he's harmless; follows me around and keeps company. Helped me get rid of the rat problem, too. I'm trying to teach him a few words, but unless it's about food, his concentration fades away.

Entry 57:

Woke up from a terrible nightmare today. Hungry's face isn't as cute anymore. At this rate, I'll be in the same position as those rats he swallowed up alive. I'm afraid this has to end, but I've grown too fond of Hungry from the times we ate all those muffins together. I cannot bring myself to kill him. Instead, I'll just lock Hungry away and take my leave. I'm going to tear off a page of my journal an nail it here, in case someone should stumble upon this place. If you're reading this, do not open the door, and more importantly, DO NOT FEED HIM!

<DestinedToDine>: My idea is to have Hungry as a sort of a friendly companion at the size of a scamp.
<Tondollari_>: oh
<DestinedToDine>: He doesn't do anything except for following you and having "Hungry! Hungry! HUNGRY!" greeting.
<DestinedToDine>: But if you feed him, script will mod his stats and he will grow bigger.
<DestinedToDine>: Until he eventually decides to try to eat you.

Just thought about this. The quest doesn't necessarily need to take place in the wilderness. It could be a recently abandoned house with a cellar.
