How do we want to handle the substance sload soap (ingred_sload_soap_01)?
MW treats this as an alchemy ingredient and/or an offering in a tomb - not as soap.
TR Interiors:
Denaven,Manor uses it as soap.
Enamor Dayn, The Gentle Velk = soap.
Gorne, Daryn Tharis' House = ? (its just on a shelf - no implications)
Gorne, The Emerald Haven Inn = soap.
Harru Cavern = ingredient.
Erethan Plantation, Manor = soap.
Akamora, Arenim Manor = soap.
Necrom, Catacombs: Second Chamber = offering.
Meralag, Lleresia Himnu's House = ingredient.
TR_i3-377-Ind = soap.
Note: There may be more TR ints that use it as soap, I only checked a few TR_Mainland ints and the Alpha release.
I could not find a definitive answer searching through the forums (here or anywhere else)

Wikipedia has some interesting things to say about soap in general, not just the kind used for cleaning.
Even though it isn't probably used as a cleaning soap, it's probably made from the same process as soaps generally are (from the fat of the sload) and it probably has similar properties to cleaning soap (such as surfactant properties and lathering in water) but yeah, I don't think it would be something you'd want to use to clean yourself with.
Arara Uvulas says she uses it to make an ointment for Master Neloth's joints, so maybe it's used like Aloe Vera is, as an additive in medical potions, ointments, or even actual good smelling bath soaps/salts that help restore and fortify agility (sounds like a commercial), along side its other uses for potions of fire shield and poisons to drain personality.
Anyway, it's probably something the Sload make themselves and export. I think making alchemical ingredients from their puppy milled young sounds like something a Sload might do.

Re: Sload Soap
if this is our dialog, remove "non-sentient."seneca37 wrote:"Sload soap is a waxy substance made from the immature non-sentient forms of the sload." NPC:Tendris Vedran

Sload Soap is essentially created by Sload squishing baby Sload into soapy form. The only people who would use it as soap are probably very ignorant people who somehow managed to get hold of some without knowing what it is, and maybe some Telvanni and other lunatics. Any instance of it as normal soap in TR is almost certainly an error which should be amended.
Edit: it might be used as a balm by some people, mind, but I'm not sure how socially acceptable that would be.

Master Neloth uses it in an ointment and it's probably because it provides good arthritis relief, not just because he's a telvanni wizard.
