Magribash Tribe?

Post by Tes96 »

Will the Mabrigash Tribe be included once we start working on the Deshaan region?

No, mabrigash are a completely different thing in TES:III and the whole Ghost Snakes sound very unfitting for Morrowind. We might implement some form of Dunmer nomadism in the Deshaan, since the Dres are very traditionalist.

Well, all Mabrigash do have the ranged spell "Ghost Snake" in the CS. It paralyzes and drains strength, endurance and fatigue. Since the Ghost Snake thing is in the original game I'm not sure you can really get away from it so easily, Yeti.

It seems like this paragraph from UESP is the most pertinent if one is to put any stock in ESO:
By 3E 427, the term mabrigash had come to define a renegade wise woman who had forsaken tradition to master the dark arts and become a witch-warrior. They were known to obtain their power by charming a man and draining him of his vital essence, and could manifest their power as a ghost snake which would paralyze and drain their victims.[2] These witch-warriors were common on the island of Vvardenfell, but it is unknown how they relate to the tribe of the Vale.
Changing an old name for a disliked tribe, over time, into a pejorative for nontraditional women mages seems like something Ashlanders might do.
