Fabricants
I've always wondered what exactly Sotha Sil's fabricants are. They look like little dinosaur cyborgs so my first assumption would be that they are some kind of animals that were turned into robots. What are your thoughts? Or is there a straight out fact that I failed to understand?

Their nature is never stated. To my knowledge the two main theories are that they are either Morrowind fauna that has been mechanized, or that they are complete fabrications of Sotha Sil. I think TR has leaned towards the latter interpretation. In other words, while they look like creatures that have been mechanized, they were actually created to look like that from the start.
