Regarding the latest update...

Post by Arramu »

Great work on the update TR team! but may I offer some friendly critisism? After reading the changelog, I decided to check out the stated changes around Bosmora.

What hit me first was the new trees you are using, specifically the ones with an almost lime-green canopy. Imo, these really are a step down from the previous trees which had a more natural dark green shade. I understand these bright green trees fit the more magical forest theme, but to me they look a bit comical, with an almost cell-shaded quality that doesn't really suit the tone of the world. I would reccomend using the previous dark green trees. Just sharing my thoughts from a long time fan of the mod.

Here are the old trees, to me they look more natural and 'bushy' -

The new trees imo look a little plastic -

I honestly rather dislike the new lime green tree colors myself. Even if the older models had problems (which I assume they did), their colors looked great.

Can we just do a nifscope swap of the leaves?

The issues were polycount and hollow bottoms on the models with visible roots. The old foliage might carry a higher polycount, but wasn't the reason for the swap.

A possible alternative approach with a completely new vanilla-style foliage:
