What areas will be included in the Deshaan region? Will it be an ashland territory?

I suggest checking out this thread to get an idea of what Deshaan will look like. It won't be ashlands, it will be saltrice plains.

Ah, thanks TDF. So is Armun Ashlands the only other ashlandic territory outside of Vvardenfell where we would find camp sites? I found one so far; the Armun camp.Terrifying Daedric Foe wrote:I suggest checking out this thread to get an idea of what Deshaan will look like. Which ash swamp?RyanS wrote:There is another ashlander camp northwest of the Ash Swamp. It's quite small though, with 5 yurts.

Ah, I found it. It's actually in Northern Velothi Mountains region but it's right next to the border of Grey Meadows. Found 4 ash yurts. Thanks.RyanS wrote:The only Ash Swamp, which is in northwestern Morrowind. We've named it the Grey Meadows.Tes96 wrote:Which ash swamp?
Has the team discussed just how dispersed ashlandic camps will be? Will we find camp sites outside of Almalexia and in more southern regions of Morrowind?
(I probably should have named this topic "ashlander sites" instead.)

Thanks, Yeti.
Are there plans to add more ashlander camps in the more southern regions that have yet to be designed?

There are no plans as of yet; the same goes for Telvannis and other areas we will be revisiting. The Ashlander population on the mainland will probably remain small, though.
The Hlaalu homeland (Shipal-shin and Othreleth Woods) probably won't have an Ashlander camp or even lone yurts, and I personally don't think it would be a good idea to put Ashlanders in Deshaan or the Argon Jungle, but that's just my opinion.

Why do you not think Ashlanders would not fit in the Argonian Jungle or Deshaan region? If they won't be included in the final release then that's fine, but aren't they nomadic hunters? I wouldn't be surprised to even find a couple Ashlanders living in northern Black Marsh. Although when do you stop calling them Ashlanders and just call them nomads or hunters? Or is their location irrelevant to their name "ashlander"?Gnomey wrote:There are no plans as of yet; the same goes for Telvannis and other areas we will be revisiting. It's really too early to tell with those regions, so I might easily change my mind on that when we get to them. The reason I currently don't like the idea is that I think the Argon Jungle should be a high-level area that trained Dres Slaverhunters would have trouble surviving in, and that it should mostly lack inhabitants in its interior, except maybe for Argonians. As for the Deshaan Plains, I think the xenophobic nature of House Dres would be somewhat undermined by their allowing Ashlanders to settle in their land; I imagine the Dres to be very territorial.
