Dren & Cammona
Melphala sells the idea of a 'live & let (others) die for a paradise in mortal realms, to Orvas Dren.
Unknowingly to the Dren family, a new found wealth that was to come was at the price of it's race (and all others)
Under the guidance of Melphala, Orvas uses the Morag Tong as a recruiting facility further expanding it's plan.
By bringing in new people, this brings in new families establishing a broader network and creating what is to be the foundation of a Multi-Family Operated Crime Syndicate.
The Camonna Tong is borne.
(Crime equals profit, profit buys protection, protection allows YOUR crime) being the general contention there.
Orvas' older brother Vedam was intentionally kept separate from all criminal activities. Unknowingly Vedam was to be groomed for something else that's not illegal.
At some point..
Orvas and a member of House Hlaalu agree that should the time come & 'He' is made Grandmaster, His first decree will be his retirement and replaces himself with someone of Orvas' choice. The reward the former Grandmaster gets is no longer a would be target of the Morag Tong but also to be allowed as Morag Tongs Grandmaster (not gonna take a hit out on yourself now are you).
Eno Hlaalu (with Drens hidden support) becomes Grandmaster of the House and declares a change, declares His retirement and announces his replacement.
Eno asks Vedam Dren if he would take His place and become that symbolic change the House is needing.
Vedam being none the wiser kindly accepts. Vedam Dren is now the new Grandmaster of House Hlaalu & Eno Hlaalu becomes Grandmaster of the Morag Tong.
All members of House Hlaalu under the new Grandmasters rank don't have to like it but can except it, some even profit from it (dren not being the family/house name)
Vedams council is subject to Orvas' will.
Orvas' council is subject to Melphalas will.
Melphala operates directly with Orvas.
Orvas operates indirectly with Vedam.
Vedam is persuaded to pay a 'token' of good gesture & a 'tribute' in recognition of the Empire. House Hlaalu always did recognize the Empire, now so too does it's new Grandmaster. An outsider presenting himself in acts of Faith, Hope, Charity, Law & Order. A model to go by..
Vedams tokens & tributes earned him his qualification as a model citizen of the ages & is offered the chance to further His success by becoming Duke...
