Musketeers???
How about a guild like in the 3 musketeers? Maybe a religous leader could have his own little army? And then a king could too? or maybe a few of the provinces could have there own King guard, that would be musketeer type people. Theo nly problem is the musket part, maybe a specal cross bow could be issued? Seeing how nobody seems to like my flintlock pistol idea. but its ok. what do you all think

Well, the Tribunal Temple has Ordinators and Buoyant Armingers, the Cyrodiilis have the Praetorians, Daggerfall and High Rock have their myriad Knight Orders, well ... maybe something Altmer, or Nord, we don't know of such orders there.
Then again, maybe there would be such orders in the borderline regions of Cyrodiil - some duke dedicated to stendarr, who founded something like a XS version of the Templars of Europe's Dark Age, to fight the nonbelievers and so on. I could imagine that.

Bladmand: I was saying they have no political affiliation (at least none that is perceptible at the beginning) . . . the Praetorians have an obvious association with the Imperial Crown. The musketeers could then exist in the Imperial province/city.
Only the prospect of death makes life worth living.
and musketeers dont use muskets, they use swords. The term musketeers came from when these footmen made extremely incredible use of their arms, which were muskets, and used them well, and only used muskets in battle. This however was only one generation of musketeers, as guns became sparse quickly, and they reverted to swords.
