Soulgems for New Creatures

Post by av01d »

if i remembered properly... all the mods that adds creatures to the game are not soul capturable... as in they dont work with soultrap.

so i was wondering if someone is doing up this for all the new creatures that have been created... it would be rather a shame to have all these beautiful critters that cannot be captured right?

Naturally. They do need to be soul capturable.

As long as they are added under the creature tab they are soultrapable.

You have to give the creature at least 1 pt. of Soul, though. Ever tried to Soul Trap a Centurion ? They hae 0-soul. That's why Centurions cannot be trapped.

I'll ask greybeard about the souls, he probably has set a value for them for the new creatures :)

I came up with an idea that might allow soultrapable npcs. it requires a good scripter, but i think its doable. We couldn't get a soul for an exact person, but i think by race would be doable.

hm interesting, I noticed one day that Vivec was a creature with a high soul level (3000!) I tried to soul trap him and my game crashed! There might be a limit to how high the soul of a creature can go before causing a crash.

1) You cannot add new soulgems
2) To trap really fat creatures you need Azura's star

Nope, you trap Vivec. He is worth an incredible amount of money and has a great 'soul juice' number when enchanting.

You know you just bumped a thread without adding anything at all. You've been doing this a lot lately, can you stop?

Also, you can trap anything you want with the Star. Vehk just happens to be the only thing in the game you need the Star to trap. (Ayem too, probably)
