I woulda been so jacked up if I'd actually gotten to the homonculous, I woulda done a little bitty horned, lizardy kinda guy. Sort of like the one in 'The Voyages of Sinbad" if anyone else is old enough to have seen that movie (And I mean the origional time-stop movie, not some lame Disney or Whoever-It-Was animated film).
Anyhow here's another pair I did this afternoon, they should be familiar as well:
I figured the somewhat mainstream look for Medusa (which is a pro-noun btw, what she is proper is a gorgon) would be best for game purposes. Seeing as how there isn't a turn-you-to-stone-with-a-gaze spell effect, I thought she might disguise herself and use her voluptuous figure to lure victims in close enough to use some powerful Paralyze spell.
And don't ask the minotaur about his extra horns, he doesn't feel comfortable talking about it with strangers...
(interstingly enough I couldn't find any minotaur lore either, I hope I at least came close, hah hah)

Hey spider could you maybe possibly do a request?
I had the idea of an exploding dwemer creation. I'm thinking maybe something with the body reminiscint of the dwemer spider except with wings instead of legs (Kinda like a scarab as others suggested.)
Would you mind doing the concept. And feel free to make artistic changes. Just remember that it's main purpose is to get to the enemy and explode on contact.

we can always add it to the fan art and concept art gallery when we make one if there's more than we need.

Now for some of the concept sketches I am doing, I need to know about censorship. I am assuming that you don't want any bared breasts or anything like that in the art, right? I can go either way (actually I prefer to have the drawings and models lacking nudity, gives me the creeps), but I need to know if anybody wants certain creatures to have visible "no-no" areas.

Haha dexter, did you see my harpy? Well, at least you had the foresight to ask first. Hey, if nudity is a problem someone can nix that pic & I can do a more fully feathered version if need be.

Okay here is a Lamia, Ogre and Giant.
With the Lamia I decided to giver her scales all over her body, so that way there is no technical nudity, and you guys dont have to worry about doing something lame like giving her a seashell bikini or something stupid like that. I also gave her a more eel-like tail to make her look more sinister.
The Ogre is pretty straightforward. Big, smelly, dirty and piggish, with a big club. And I couldn't resist myself, I had to make him scratching his ass.
The Giant may need some changes. I'm not sure how giant the Giants really are, so I estimated. Let me know what you think.

And since I can only attach three files per post, here is the Dark Seducer.
Okay, maybe I had too much fun with this one. Anyways, I kept her as human-ish as possible. I also tried to minimize the detail on her outfit, since fancy bondage dominatrix clothes are probably scarse in Tamriel.

Ogre: Probably make it less human looking if possible.
Giant: cool except maybe a helmet since they had them in daggerfall.
Lamia: Not sure what they were supposed to look like but cool.
Dark Seducer: Well they are deadra so human looking isn't a requirment (Maybe make it look alien but human and good seductive like the golden saint except suductive). Also the Dark seducer has wings, it's the deadra seducer that doesn't.
Overall very good.

Excellent job dexter! My favourite is easily the giant, he seems to have the face a giant wants to have. As far as giants having helmets, there would likley be a shortage of helmets the proper size for a giant as I doubt they were capable enough smith to make their own. Maybe a crude helmet made from a wagon wheel or a suit of armor or something, I dunno... I'd think them tall enough to not worry about being hit in the head by an opponant (unless it's another giant).
I do have an opinion on two of the creatures though. Assassinace is probably right about a less human looking ogre, as is I think I like my version better. Though perhaps he could stand to be less human than that, or maybe just hairier.
The lamia is a great idea, but seems a bit much much like a mermaid to suite the purpose (don't think there are any Elder Scrolls mermaids). If it helps, Lamia had several different forms: one looked similar to yours half-snake half-woman, another looked somewhat like the sphinx, another version was demon-like (though I've never seen this version in ancient art), and another form looked like a seductive vampire-like woman (possibly spawning the legends of vampires). Interesting fact: she was able to remove and replace her eyeballs at will.
A great job again, all the same. I'm not sure how old you are, but I can see a great deal of ability and promise in your work.

According to Hermit, the Lamia are a race of evil mermaids. So instead of giving them the typical fish tail, I decided an eel tail would be more evil looking. And the scales all over the body are what I have affectionatly named my "Look Ma, No Nipples!" solution.
As far as the Giant goes, I think he would look absolutely rediculous in a helmet. Who is gonna be tall enough to hit him on the head? To be honest, I didn't like the original look of the Giants, so I took my artistic liscense for granted. Oh well. A Giant wouldn't wear much, I just gave him those patchwork pants because I didn't want him to end up looking like a skinny old man in a diaper.
The Ogre could go with some changes. I just don't know what they are right now. "Less human" is pretty vague. When I think of Ogre, I think of a normal human being with too much growth hormone. Remember Andre the Giant? Take him but increase the feature of Gigantism, and you have my mental image of an Ogre. Again, I don't play any other fantasy games, so I don't know what the classic view of an Ogre is. I didn't see any other concepts for an Ogre, but why doesn't a third party tell one of us specifically what elements to keep, what elements to change, and we will see what we can come up with.
For the Dark Seductress, I will be sketching a winged version tonight or tomorrow, it should be uploaded by lunch time. I am going to show more skin, and continue the whip theme. The original is supposed to look daedric and seductive at the same time, but imagine her with red skin or something. I didn't think a Dremora in a bikini would be very seductive, so I made her more human looking. I dunno, use your imagination.

Well the leather type stuff could be more deadric as well. (Make the leather out of carfully places deadric sigils or something. Or instead of deadric faces make it some other theme ie. instead of lots of tiny angry faces something more like the kama sutra or something along those lines? Except still follows the twisted deadric theme.)
Also for the ogre keeping it away from other fantasy is kinda what I'm looking for since that seems to be the current Beth approach. Also gaintism should be what plain giants look like. Ogres I'm not sure about which is why you got the generic answer.
As for the mermaid thing seems kinda odd but since I don't know about them whatever.
Overall very cool.

I agree w assassinance on that humans on roidrage are just a normal giant.
I sometimes imagined ogres to be just massive versions of the goblin/orc family - like ogres are to orcs as orcs are to goblins.
The actual giant looks cool - I never thought of giants so thin... but I think ur pic looks cool.
But I disagree with most ppl on the Lamia - I do think the Lamia loks great - I just feel it can fit into the Morrowind province so easily... And stuff like a mostly scaled body and eel tail 9and evil!) makes it look very different from your typical mermaid... i shouldnt worry bout that

Here is the updated Homonuculus and a winged version of the Seductress. The Homonucules has been upgraded to look very Dwemer (I can't imagine it looking any MORE Dwemer), and the Seductress should make everyone happy.
As always, give me your comments on how I could improve or change the Seductress. The Homonucules is just about perfect in accordance with my mental image of them, so unless someone whips out some lore that dramatically changes their appearance, that one will stay the same.

Well these are just concept drawings. If that gets made into a creature, the texture monkey can make it look like leather easily. When I was drawing it I intended for the clothing to look like it was made of leather, but I kinda rushed this one because my pen was running out of ink. That is indeed leather though.

Fantastic as usual dexter, though I'm not sure what to think about the goblin. I retract what I said earlier about the lamia, seeing as how they're supposed to be a sea creature it looks like that would do quite nicely. The improvements on the seducer and homonculous are superb, the nicest touches are the seducer's hair, and the homonculous' mech-beard.
I've got a few more creatures that 'll finish up tommorow, they'll be a gargoyle, orc centipede creature, griffon, and a great honkin' bird.
Meantime I've got this to contribute: There's already a plethora of new armours and such out there, but I hadn't seen anything the Altmer might wear to battle. Perhaps something along the lines of this? (excuse the scan, it sucks)

For the Goblin slave, I did my best to make him look skinnier, sicklier, and generally more harsh than the other Goblins. Not very easy, mind you. I also plan on doing some sort of Goblin Warlord, with full armor. Since we seem to have run out of Morrowind creepies, I will be starting some Skyrim concept work, unless someone throws some more Morrowind stuff my way.

Well you could always try this one. (It's an april fools joke from adriens challice :p)
Changing gears for a second, I didn't see much in the way of creatures, but I did catch a glimpse of one new beastie: the Zhahaar, an almost totally transparent 'ice-creature' that moves very fluidly, and has a subtle 'shimmer effect' as it glides about the land. It's really quite impressive to see, as looking through its body actually warps the surrounding environment very realistically. It had mostly placeholder sound effects, but the shriek it lets out when spotting the player does indeed send a chill down your spine... very cool.

One more for the night. A Sabertooth Tiger for Skyrim.
I am in a weird spot. I have run out of ideas. A damn same too, since I was on a bit of a roll there. I was going to draw a Mammoth to serve as a beast of burden for Skyrim, but I saw that Spider (I think) already drew some sort of awesome artic bison looking thing.
Spew ideas my way and I will absorbe it like a sponge.

Here's a gargoyle, hmmm... don't know what else to say about that. The last two lore critters are coming as soon as I get unstuck on the centipede creature.
Any thoughts on the Aldmeri typr armor I posted above? I know it's a little early to be putting a lot of thought into the Altmer but I do think they ought to have their own clothing and armor . Seeing as they (as a race) have such a superiority complex, I wouldn't expect to see many Alter running around with gear of a 'lesser' craftmanship. If it's a dumb idea fine, if not, let me know and I can design something a bit more comprehensive.

Ok for the creature the concept looks really good but it just doesn't look scary. Maybe fangs or something would help. (The ingame pic looks more beastlike which looks menacing although I don't know if that's necissary).
As for the armor I think the Altmer use glass an crystal in thier armor. And I agree thier armor would look nice but not in that way. (They have crystal spires as thier houses so...)

For Gargoyles, I would think that the scary aspect comes not from their form, but the whole uncertainty factor. I think that whatever the Gargoyles look like, there should be a static model that looks identica, so the PC cannot tell which is a creature and which is a statue. And the Gargoyle should spring to life at random times, not just when the PC gets close enough to be detected.
What are the last two lore creatures? I can do one of them if you want, since at this point I am still working out preliminary ideas for Skyrim stuff.
