king morrowind, please shut up before an admin has to institute some policy on you.
Prom, I would say scale it down, the proportions are meant to be large I know, but right now it is monstrously larger than any other mesh... scaling it down would make it a lot more realistic, epic proportions isnt always better

Yea but those might not match. I agree it would look similar, but because of the size difference it would need to be a new interior I think.
And King-Morrowind, maybe next time you should come off your high before posting, there may be a warning policy however everyone knows what isn't appropiate on these forums.

match the height of each level with the height of the levels in other buildings or else it wont make sense and it will mess up whoever makes the interior pieces for skyrim. Its better to standardize

I allow my computer to choke FPS, if the it allows me to see that building! Holy crap! It looks better than anyother building in Morrowind!
BUT: Maybe it looks too good. The house seems to be "too clean" next to the other houses. (Know what I mean?) Some work with the texturing is adviseable.

Prom: I've been to the place off of which you based the really big building (but I'm blanking on the name). As I recall, it was a thirteenth century church. That might be a little late for TR architecturally. Also, I don't think that the in-game Nords would build churches.

Hemm..
Yeah.. I think we should keep the decorations seperate.
So each hold can have they're each set.
Better to make diffrent buildings that way.
But brilliant.
I don't think the scale is wrong.
I just think the way the building is right now.
It doesn't fit right.
The front part is strange to me.
As a true nord or a viking if you like.
Only way I can see that work if it's sheltered in some form of cort yard, whit tall houses around the yard.
I've seen these buildings all my life.
And one of the key things one has to keep in mind is weather.
The roof should be low to the ground.
Just as high as a normal man can fit under there.
A bit lower than that to if possible.
It will help against the wind taking hold on the building.
And it's a very destinkt feature that kinda gives the building it's real and true apperance.
Every norwegian can tell you that the building look strange if it doesn't have this feature.
Most can't put they're finger on it.
But it doesn't look like a real building to us.
Oh.
And viking never was much ppl for grand entrances.
Again becus of weather.
Ever tried to open a large door in a storm?
In this setting you want to keep the door as sheltered as possible an have as few windows as possible.
And keep the door as small as it needs to be.
Down want that snow and rain comming indoor do we?
Prom you did a very good job on the structure part of this building.
It looks very very viking age.
Only problem are the weather features you need to keep in mind when making it.
Then the rest doesn't really matter how large it is.
Or how massive.
Texure wice it's complete.
Very complete. I agree though whit the guys who say it should look a bit more weathered and worn.
All in all. I whouldn't mind if it looked just like that.
Any Nord whould have been proud of that building.

If you don't bother with your past history. How do you know where your currently at? It's past what makes us who we are. And who we will be. Ignoring that, is ignoring who we are and where we're going.

ooo I like that one prom However, the curved piece of wood that tops it off seems a bit too curved.

I can't understand why you people make meshes for Skyrim now anyways. We're still years from finishing Morrowind you know. It would be a wiser decision to put effort into finising the huge piece of work we're currently working on before making stuff like this. Sure, planning ahead is good, though this is absurd

I am a landscaper , not interior maker , i am not good at making interiors, quests or other stuff that is needed now so i make other things like meshes for skyrim and the maps so it is everything but absurd.... it is absolutely not a waste of time and we aren't so far as u think....

those look really good, prom!
i have an idea: since skyrim is mountaneous, it'd be damn good to have a way to make a terrace/platform like structures in cities, offering us a chance to build on slopes or even on top of mountains.
for this we imho need only a few simple models: -see pic-

that railing you made K_F would be great for the terraces in map 6

well, it's made in auto-cad, i'm a newbie in max [unlike in cad]. those shapes are pretty much definite, but you may let your imagination work on it, thus using it as a guide. the only thing that matters is that it needs to be tileable.
yes, it is for hanging on cliffs [but not only] to form a platform, or a raised plazza, or a terrace, or whatever you can think of. that's why i asked for separate railing, so you may make whatever shape.
also, it'd be great to have matching stairs; with a separate railing too, so that we can add railing on both sides/one side/no railing...
btw: i know those are pretty simple meshes, that's why i dared to ask for them.
