Personally I think we should edit the vampire dailogue greet for almost all characters we make so that they will talk to vampires if there disposition is high enough (With a loss of disposition with the initial speaking).
Maybe not for ordinators or others who would be paying attention to evil beings and would want to try and kill them.
That way there is a significant penalty but it is still possible to interact with the game as a vampire.
(ex. need 80 disp to talk to someone as a vamp. With a disposition drop of 15 with initial greeting. even more then a 15 drop if spells work after the disposition drop or can make disposition go over 100)
Because really should the vampires with full helms on be easily spotted by people in the middle of the night?
Also it will make it so we don't have to worry about different workarounds for vampire players.

Ehh, framerate is kinda irrelevant in conversations... it would just be one heck of a long script for the helm thingie.

I have an idea:

We could write a script so that during the daytime, vampires revert back to their origional configuration, but still take sun damage. Basically they're just the regular character with sun damage, and no one would know that you're a vampire. Then during the night, your face mesh would change, and you would have the bonus' of being a vampire, but everyone would know, and it'd be like the regular Morrowind vampires. I think it'd take a complicated but not impossible script(s) to make this happen, but I think that would be more realistic, and far more fun for vampire players.

Hmm, that would be like changing Vampires themselfes though. There isn't any lore on them "reverting" back to what they normally look like. The use of a face helm or mask would be far better IMO, but that would probably be a bolt-on, i'd think.

Actually this was a really old post and it's already been fixed more or less. The dres and new people will be slightly more tolerant of vampires. Also the vampires from other regions will get new options as well however the Morrowind vamps will not get changed.

as for the vampire reverting not having lore well we could add dialogs and books/scrolls also part of this project is to be creative and really push what the creator can do so its really not all to bad to try new and irregular things

well, what if we reversed it? made it so if the vampire's dispotion was high enough, you could talk to them, or if you cought them off guard, like ascended sleepers? Maybe have some classy vampires? ya know, not evil, like bitten, but not a bad person, so hes just a good vampire, and would only attack, if you pissed him off? whatta bout stuff like that?

Just a quick note in this abandoned thread: a full helmet would not help a vampire in conversation. A vampire's voice is different from a mortal's. IMO, the vampires should be left as they are now.
