You know its not exactly a common thing for a capitol city to be the bigest city, seeing as how a citys size is determined by the ecenomics surpunding the city and not the politics...

Well said , just looking to the difference between Washington and Los Angeles may explain it well....

Anyway Almalexia is 11 cells big , Narsisi is about 7 or 8 and together with the forbidden island barely reaches 9 cells .... so do not think that it is so big, and the interior count of Almalexia is higher than 120....

Thinking about it, it does make sense that way. I live in Ottawa, capitol city of Canada, and it's not even a million people.

Anywho, Narsis should be tied with Tear roughly in terms of size and grandeur - though tear is "beautifully corrupt". The thing is, narsis used to be some little shack town on a hill, then as hlaalu grew the city did too, and they even changed the course of the pryai river slightly to make the city an island. Tear, however, has been an "economic powerhouse" before the empire even existed, so my concern wouldnt be outshining almalexia - but outshining tear. Don't outshine Tear, and narsis will rule even more. Almalexia and Indoril's influence is waning heavily, hell by the 4th era if the empire is still in morrowind the capital may very well have shifted to narsis - but Tear would be richer than ever, with the dres logically expanding their territory in the decline of Indoril.
So, tear and narsis should be equal cities, to sum it all up - alot like Athens and Sparta, both were grand but neither outshone the other.

No your ideas aren't in lore so is not such a problem Tear and Narsis are different by politics not by wealth , they are different and there is no competition... with that the discussion on this is over , here are more screens from the Forbidden Island of Narsis And the Forbidden garden as well as a renewal of the palace of the Duke , some locations and a view of the Forbidden Temple....

Be careful about the references in that garden though. The FPS in a few areas in Almalexia dropped heavily because the wilderness was overdetailed

How many faces does the CS show in those cells? We should be able to figure out what is a good range and what the absolute max is, not only for here, but for other cities as well.

I think that for a city like Narsis, we should try to keep the frame rate reasonable, but still allow a bit of lag. After all, with the scenery as beautiful as Prom has made it, I'd like it if I had a bit of frame rate slow down as opposed to the city not looking as nice. I agree that we ought to try to find a good range, but we also need to try to allow some room for lag. Maybe if we make sure not to have too many NPCs in the high face count areas we can save the FPS.

hey i just finished exploring the version of Narsis from your site prometheus, and I just want to say it looks great. The only FPS problem that was major was the waterfall area. But great stuff dude.

I agree with Sirwoot except for the Haunted Huntsman, it sounds like some sort of bad Scooby-Doo episode.

there shouldnt be two taverns with the same word - how about you make up a new tavern to replace it, like the "Fat Rotumbo"?

NO!!!
NO, NO NO!!!
NEVER add the modders forum name to anything!!!
we dont want a big silgrad tower, with its "valderon avenue"s and "sheikizza tower"s all over the place.
Maybe something less obvious, like "Naima's house of (insert word)".

Anyways, for the Narsis version of the House of Earthly Delights, you may want to call it the Brothel something or other.
