Proposed province order

Post by sirwootalot123 »

I don't know if this is the right forum for this, but I have devised an organisational way to work on provinces. This is the order I came up with:
Morrowind
Skyrim
Black marsh
Cyrodill (make city about 30 cells, seperate map)
High Rock
Hammerfell
Elsweyr
Valenwood
Sumerset

Any comments would be appreciated.

Yeah, I guess it's okay. Rather than moving in circle from Skyrim to High Rock, we cover the entire east to west. Too bad Summerset Isle is the last though, because I'm anxious tosee how it is done and how it comes out.

the problem is that to mod the provinces u need the maps ..and i am the one making them muhahahaha

btw
i think is better to make cyrodiil befoure black march couse we have more statics to use ...while black marsh is more alien and should be built ex novo

also is also more easy to make high rock for the same reason

Nice order exept Couldnt the summer set be a seperate project? since it's composed of islands?

so we could do:

Morrowind
Skyrim
Black marsh
Cyrodill
High Rock
Hammerfell
Valenwood
Sumerset
Elsweyr

Actually because Paydonea, Thras, And summerset are all in the same area it should probably be done last as it will need the most odd meshes.

Why elsweyr last? besides, wouldn't it be much easier to make valenwood after elsweyr, seeing as that its neighbours would be done and we could just fit it in all snug? Although I agree summerset would be highly interesting, I don't think we should judge our order by provinces that are coolest, but by location and ease of creation (I.E. hammerfell will, at the most, require new land textures but that's it; while argonia will require about 75% brand-new stuff).

Heres the order I see it so far that we're headed:

1. Morrowind
2. Skyrim
3. Cyrodil(the city has two i's, but the province only one)

4. High Rock
5. Hammerfell
6. Black Marsh
7. Elsweyr
8. Valenwood(not sure if there are two L's or one L, and not sure about S on the end)

9. Summerset Isles

Does it really matter, with Morrowind-Skyrim-Cyrodiil we have enough for a few years :P
Anyway I always imagined Argonia - Elsewyer - Valenwood was after Cyrodiil

Bladmand, that would work so well that I feel like re-writing the order.
Morrowind
Skyrim
Cyrodil
Argonia
Elsweyr
Hammerfell
High rock
Valenwood
Sumerset

(valenwood before sumerset because the high elves own some land in valenwood, and they thus "blend" better than any other two provinces IMHO.)

Cyrodil will probably be third on the list (but that will be decided when we are nearly finished with Skyrim) but Black Marsh may also be third. Fifth I would say either Elsweyr or High Rock. Summerset will probably be last.

I imagine high rock and cyrodil will be quite easy to make, big but easy as they are both ver green and the houses will all look like eborheartish.

I think a good order would be (and I'm not biased in any way, otherwise I'd have put argonia second):

*Morrowind
*Skyrim
*Cyrodiil
*Black Marsh
*Elsweyr
*Valenwood
*Hammerfell
*High Rock
*Summurset Isle
So strange this place. Far from the marsh.

He means (and he's right!) that we should really focus on this province before we start coming up with big plans for the next ones; it could be 2 years or more before we even begin Skyrim! How could we possibly lay down plans for anything farther than that?

Of course, a man can dream can't he?

The order is skyrim-cyrodiil-argonia-high rock-hammerfell-elsweyr-valenwood-summerset basically.

Although i agree with noirgrim, we need to focus on MW entirely.

Guys, let's look at this in perspective:

The estimated time for the whole project is 25-35 years. This means that if everybody stayed on the project, by the time it's done we'll all be fifty-year-old men and women. Something also tells me that in 25 years computer games won't exist, but complete VR will. If this project ever *does* finish, chances are that its members at that time aren't even born yet.

Let's look at it this way: we're in a hopeless battle. Let's just try to take down as many sons-of-female-dogs as we can, while we can.

Dude. Computer games will exist. Gameboy is almost 20 years old and people still use it.
