Kindled Fire

"No, no, no! You're doing it all wrong!", cried the exasperated teacher. "Foolish child! What have I taught you?! Your arm movements are all wrong, you must change your stance, and your not even pronouncing the spell correctly!

The student's name was Aryon, who was as frustrated as his teacher of Telvanni origin. The student had been privileged for private lessons by the local librarian, duly appointed and paid for by Aryon's father.

"If you want to summon anything, you need to do it with extreme precision or you may lose its control!"
Aryon despised these daily sessions of torment but it only drove him to try harder and graduate the class.

Graduation

After years of learning, studying and just putting up with school, his final exam was upon him. Aryon and his teacher were out on the fields, and all Aryon had to do to graduate was to summon a Fire Atronach.
"You may begin", said the teacher.

Ayron cast the spell effortlessly and the atronach was at his command, binded to his thoughs and actions. But something went wrong. The atronach turned and started moving towards the teacher. Aryon fought with all his will as he tried to stop the spirit, but to no avail. Teacher, clearly seeing he lost control, attempted to dispel the beast, but as if the atronach knew what he was planning to do, he was hit with a fireball, knocking him off balance. Searing pain roared through him as he gazed at his hands, the flesh of which was slowly dripping off like pudding. The librarian would be a former Telvanni master in a matter of seconds.

After Aryon had seen his teacher getting burned alive, the Atronach turned to him, staring at him as if waiting for the next task.
