Nerevar, and people's view of him in Indoril territory...

Post by vashram »

Is Nerevar viewed any differently by people in Indoril areas? The prophecy of the Nerevarine would probably be
looked down upon just like everywhere else the Tribunal has influence, but it seems it would be different there since it was his house... maybe not, just curious. It might affect placement of things such as books on Nerevar, the Nerevarine, etc in Indoril territory.

Chances are, they'd hate the Nerevarine Prophecies worse than the other houses, as Nerevar left, as you stated, a profound influence on the house. They'd probably view the Incarnates the same way you would if your mother died and someone starts dancing over her grave.

Their attitude would most likely change dramatically when Vivec clears up the Incarnate issues, though.

Although it's hard to change the culture overnight.

The Tribunal has been telling (i.e. lying to) the people for a very long time. Even if you resisted the temptation to kill Vivec and he tells everyone, "Oh! The Nerevarine is OK now. Never mind what I said before." Some may have been praying for the Nerevarine's coming, some may simply think the way Vivec tells them to think (there are always sheep in the flock), but most - I'd guess - will still harbor resentment and hatred.

Erm, well I mean if God came down from the heavens and said he'd made up with Samael (Satan is never called Lucifer in any religious text) and that we all had to be nice to him cause he's repented an all that - what would you do?

I would of course deny the existence of both beings as a sign that whatever I'd just inhaled wasn't a good idea but I needed a religious analogy.

Face it the Indoril are absolutely devoted to Almsivi, what they say, goes. If Vivec tells them that the Nerevarine is real then they have no choice but to accept it, it'd be like hearing straight from the metaphorical God's lips you can't deny the almighty's wishes.
