Sorry if this has been mentioned before and I am especially sorry if indeed there are already current plans for this, but I was wondering, has anyone thought about changing the sounds for the spell effects and casting sounds? The official set of sounds are really drab, dry and bland.
By revamping those magic sounds you could add a new element of refreshingness to the game which I experience A while ago when I compiled my own very appropriate change for those magic fx sounds from a number of other games resources.
And boy, did thay make the game just that little bit better.
If anyone is interested I would love to share what I did to the sounds with you, at least for curiosities sake. I assure you that you will not be disappointed.
Just imagine for a moment those flying spell projectiles that are aimed at you, especially the spirit snake and ghost snake enchantment that some ashlander women casted at you. I was flying in the air at the time dodging them as they shot them into the night sky. The changed sounds were liberating and very nice. At least to my knowledge anyways.
Sorry if this has been mentioned before..

most certainly not for TR, as we dont change the original game in any way - we only add to it. However, that sounds like a great idea for another mod.

Are you sure by that?
Do you mean that it would be a good mod only for something that is completely unaffiliated with TR?
What a shame! I mean, sound is such a trivial thing!? Do you really think that the sounds that already exist are what Tamriel is best represented by? But they are soo boring! and you could hardly call them hardcore traditional Tamrielic effects could you? Were they tailored for the races or the land specifically? I don't think so.
Its not like a city is it? Cities must be rendered in exact likenesses, races, people, are also al things that must be perfect in likeness.
Ah, But sounds, these spell sounds in particualr are... ahhh..
"Sounds that would be worthy of an exception to the TR rules because they really suck!"
I am serious that of all the things, this is one thing that would be most viable and acceptable for change because they realy aren't representative of Tamriel. Have you any idea as to the infinity that is magic? Its suppose to be different for everything, it shouldn't have to stay constant.
Any other opinions? I'll be back in an hour...
