Gday all.....

Post by Onoria »

I've been keeping my eye on this mod since the first time i heard about it, which was sometime last year, i was shocked then, and im still shocked now, im amazed at the progress you people have made. I just want to say that i would love to help out.
My experience modding with TESC is landscaping, interior design, basic scripting, character editing and a bit of dialogue. I have two small mods uploaded at: http://www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind/ Search by author "ModMapper" if you wish to take a look at them.

What id like to help out with is landscaping, if that hasn't been finished yet and also interior design with all existing models.

im looking forward to helping out

Welcome! There isn't many exteriors to claim anymore. But there is many interiors to claim, I think.

Welcome!

If you want, you can apply with Noirgrim for group map detailing. Also, there're lots and lots and lots of interiors still to be made - like those in the 13 cells that are Almalexia - which will very soon open on map 3.

Have a look around, check what you would like to do - any contribution is welcomed.

Ok, yeah ive just been reading the interior rules and the claims available. Im still unclear on some things, for example if i claimed cell 3-22 for example, im assuming i have to design the cell according to its exterior and match its theme, place furniture and items which fit in, lighting and atmosphere etc with all existing statics, am i correct?

What other things do i need to do?

Yes, an interior that is claimed has to match the exterior in terms of tile set, furniture (no Imperial furniture in Dunmer buildngs and vice versa), misc. items, books, and placement of windows and, of course, shape and size (up to 1/3 bigger is possible, since Bethesda did that, too).

Ive gone through the available City interiors for group map 2, the last post is a picture of Marog, you have 10 - toll house/registry and T - marog tower. Does that mean there ready to be claimed?

If so and i claim the toll house for example, do i need to worry about characters and also books? like in morrowind you had to carry around that scroll saying that you have payed the toll and are free to travel around the town. I dont need to worry about those things do i?

No you don't need to worry about such things they will be added later as quests and scripts. You won't need to add NPCs as well, those will be available for claiming later.

You were right, the Marog tower and Toll House are still available for claiming. If you want to do these, just post a message in the interiors claiming forum saying "Claim Request: Marog T & 10" and a moderator will probably be happy to grant it.

Make sure you read the FAQ first on interior creation and if something remains unclear, PM a moderator. Also download the Map in which the interior claim is (Map 2 in this case) so you can make sure your interior matches the exterior.

Welcome to the project and happy modding!

If I was more awake this morning I'd give you a better welcome, but here's about as far as my creativity goes:
