Hello everyone.
I would like to participate in the project. I've read your FAQ, and understand it. I'm relatively new to writing orchestral music (but not new to writing music, i have written electronic music for years and i've self educated myself in musical theory, composition and even some n00b-level orchestration) so I don't have much to offer right now.
However, I think my equipment is capable of producing professionally sounding results. I've started a piece inspired by the Morrowind soundtrack it's short and rather content-less for now, but if you like it i have few ideas how to extend it into a decent exploration bacground music.
You can listen to it here.
I can send you the MIDI if you still don't like the sound (tho there were some tweaks in MIDI to make it sound like this with my gear).
I also have tons of royalty free samples, some of them are real-world effects and sounds, and I'm willing to participate in sound design as well.
cheers.

Hello and welcome peejunk.
Oh my, that piece sounds good I like the Asian-y feel tweaking thing in the background (yes, I am a woman of not many words) somewhere in the middle...
All contributions are greatly appreciated, however small you think it is. And I believe this isn't 'small'
Keep up the good work and I can't wait to hear what else you can come up with..
*pats on the back and gives you a welcome hug*
Yinnie.

Thanks everyone, you sure know how to wellcome someone aboard.
Morrowind was what converted me from someone who was not much into PC games, (i.e. the last time I was into gaming were the c64 days ), to a serious RPG addict. So when I found out about this project and saw how far you got and everything I, well in lack of words:
Ok, I'll start by downloading all the music that was made for TR up to now so that I can fit in better. Also, with Dragonfly gone (as I'm told), who will coordinate sound design & music?[/img]

The same question has been bothering me. All of these posts are drastically outdated but the core isn't keeping track of anything in here. I think a new moderator should be appointed for the Sound & Music Forum so it can get organized again and we can get some real sound and music work done.peejunk wrote:Ok, I'll start by downloading all the music that was made for TR up to now so that I can fit in better. In respose to Vegor. I agree with you almost totally. Its nice to have someone wanting to get the sound and music depo moving and started up again! But however, I think instead of one person moderating, I think we should appoint two.......why? well, I think having two people organize and touch up songs etc. would be a lot better than one person and more things could get done faster and more effeciently. But I do agree with about everything you said Vegor.
Welcome! Great sounding piece. As one of the (or the only) musician/s who do not have professional music recording software and hardware, I always like people joining who do have professional equipment so that I can send them my MIDIs to "professionalize" them (though I'm not saying I'll make you do this for me.)
Keep up the good work

I composed a song (midi) right before Dragonfly disappeared (again). So he never got around to give it new instruments, though if anyone is interested to do this instead I'll glady give it to that person. I would do it myself, though I'm not motivated enough to spend a whole bunch of money on the samples needed
