Creature Idea: Werevulture

Post by Maormer_Mage »

Well this really isnt my idea, but I think werevultures should be included. There is concept art for all the werecreatures mentioned in this article except for the werevulture. Any feedback?

I thought the werevultures were in Valenwood or Elseweyr, so no point in making them now.

True but it never hurts to think ahead. And can you tell me if somethign I heard is true? I heard that Morrowind will be completed on the TES 3 CS and the rest of Tamriel wil be created on the TES 4 CS, and there will be a seperate team doing Morrowind on the TES 4 CS. IS this true?

Where did that drawing come from? As in did you just draw it or did you find it some where. It kindof reminds me of an Archaeopterix.

It's from the Official TR Concept Art thread, stickied at the top of the page. I thought it was also in the concept art on the front page, but I haven't checked.

It was drawn up because it was mentioned, but because there was no need for it to be built, it was pushed aside.

Yeah it isn't in the concept art gallery. Why was it pushed aside? It will be needed when TR gets to Valenwood(or Elswyr can't remember). Also I think it'd be really cool to be a werevulture. You could fly around at night and swoop in on unsuspecting Khajiits of the smaller forms(supposing they are in Valenwood).

It was pushed aside because we probably won't get to Valenwood/Elswyr until 2015. :D

Ahh. What if TR set up a modding school thing that tought people who wanted to mod for them how to. Then more people could mod and get the job done quicker. Course, all the work would still have to be play tested....

I think that adding something like that would bring TR to a virtual stand-still. We're doing fairly well on Morrowind, and we're always getting closer to finish it. All efforts should be focused towards finishing. There are tons of tutorials in the FAQ forum, so people can teach themselves almost anything. Once we finish Morrowind, we may switch to the Oblivion engine, which will require a whole new learning curve.

Yeah I guess your right, but for those of us who arent very construction set literate the tutorials arent much help. Well at least for me. All I know how to do is place objects in the render window, edit properties, make new classes available, and change the timescale.

I find it a bit odd that a werevulture would transform at night since vultures have always been seen as creatures of the day and the sun and they cant even fly at night due to the lack of updrafts much less the even hevier werevulture and they can't exactly serve as predators to hircine either since vultures can only digest rotting meat ( fresh meat make them sick) of course they are still able to defend them selfs when needed but their rather cowardly and would rather flee. Their dudty to hircine is a much more sacred than hunting and killing; the clean up crew after the big hunt and to guide the souls of the victims to their after life, and they do so grudgingly and with a macarbre and black sense of humour
To respect nature, you must come to know her. If you ignore her, the earth has a way of getting even with you. I am one of those ways.
