yes I think that will do, but what will be the case in larger settlments, I mean it would look a bit odd, in the middle of the desert a bunch of stairwells sticking out of the ground

Real life underground houses in Coober Pedy, one of the hottest places in Australia! It is an opal mining town, if anyone is interested. :)

http://www.racingshadow.com/albums/Australia2002/CooberPedy/album33.html

EDIT: ^^^ Note the comment "The kitchen and bathroom are usually located near the front for ease of access to services, with windowless living and sleeping accomodation towards the rear." Could be useful, no?

Can we compile a list of the 16 sub-types of Khajiit?

So far I know:

Cathay-raht
Suthay-raht
Senche-raht
Dagi-raht
Ohmes-raht
Tojay-raht
Pahmar-raht
Alfiq-raht

That's eight, heh..

Thats a good example to follow i think, its primitive and yet at the same time, modernized by the culture. Very interesting.

In order of phase of moons:

1. Ohmes (Arena type)
2. Ohmes-raht (Daggerfall type)
3. Suthay
4. Suthay-raht (Morrowind type)
5. Cathay
6. Cathay-raht
7. Tojay
8. Tojay-raht
9. Alfiq
10. Alfiq-raht
11. Dagi
12. Dagi-raht
13. Senche
14. Senche-raht
15. Pahmar
16. Pahmar-raht

Also there is

17. The Mane

But he can be born under any phase of the moons, only one per generation. This list has been posted in so many thread, there's concept art of all breeds on the main page methinks.

Whydoes everyone think that all of Elsweyr is desert? Some of it is and only the more nomadic Khajit live there. Most live in the jungles(south/west), marshes(east) and foothills(north/east). Also whats been planned about the Rimmen? (I'm a Rimmen fanatic like Miska is a Khajit fanatic)

Rimmen or Akaviri or Tsaesci...

Whatever you call 'em, you can't deny that snake people must undoubtedly kick ass.

yea, the Tsaeci, do kick ass. They did infact, during a war between them and the Ka Po Tun. However now the tiger dragon of the Ka Po Tun is pissed and plans to eventually conquer of the Tsaeci and then invade Tamerial.

Actually I brought up the issue of the Rimmen awhile ago and there was some disscusion and it was decided by some people that the Rimmen were not Tsaesci, but imperials. There is still some dispute about them. I would think that they'd have thier own culture considering they'd be a heavy consintration of akiviri in one place.

They're not Cyrodiilic, the quote Stumpy provided is evidence enough of that. But also I think that it's unlikely anyone would harbour pure Tsaesci and surely the returning Empire would simply wipe them out rather than risk another Potentate in the future. I reckon they're the inbreed descendants of the Tsaesci with human 'consorts' from the time the Potentate Versidue-Shaie ruled.

Whatever the case, there's a good portion of Rimmen that's now "poisoned glow rock" because of Septim's numidium project at the halls of colossus.

I'm thinking blasted wasteland (ashland tileset perhaps) with puddles of Sotha oil (poison goo) and sickly green recolored glowing crystals.

Halls of Colossus are not in Rimmen - they're south of the Tenmar Forest in southwestern Anequina IIRC, which I do, so that would suffer any ill effects of the Numidium project, in any case what lore is there that they iradiated everything building Numidium?

For the (pure) Tsaesci take a look at the concept art page on this site, I think they resemble the 'normal' form of those AD&D snakes in that art. Oh and the AD&D ones are called Yuan-Ti and it's the pure blood ones that look like scaley humans.
